The spacious deck offers stunning mountain views, while the open-concept kitchen and living area with a grand fireplace make it feel like home. Hot tub with mountain views! With no steps at the entrance, it's designed for easy access.

You'll reach The Vue via a well-maintained gravel road. AWD or 4WD is required from November through April due to winter conditions, though 2WD is usually fine the rest of the year. Parking Max 4 vehicles.

The Space:

Welcome to The Vue in Front Royal, Virginia, a mountainside retreat designed for unforgettable stays above the Shenandoah Valley. Perched high on the mountain overlooking the Shenandoah River, this private getaway offers breathtaking panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and the perfect setting for relaxation, adventure, and time spent with family or friends. Whether you're planning a quiet weekend escape, a group getaway, or an extended stay to explore the valley, The Vue offers comfort, scenery, and privacy in one of the most beautiful areas of Virginia.

Reaching the home is part of the experience. A winding gravel road climbs gradually through the forest, creating a sense of leaving the busy world behind as you approach the property. When you arrive, the reward is immediate. The home sits high above the valley with sweeping views of the Shenandoah River and the rolling mountains beyond. From sunrise lighting the ridge lines to golden sunsets across the valley floor, the scenery provides an ever-changing backdrop that makes every moment here feel special.

The home is designed to make relaxing and gathering easy. Large windows bring the outside in, filling the living areas with natural light and framing the stunning mountain views. Open, comfortable living spaces provide plenty of room for guests to unwind, share meals, and spend time together after a day exploring the region. Whether you're enjoying morning coffee while watching mist rise from the river or ending the evening with quiet conversation as the sun sets behind the mountains, the setting encourages you to slow down and enjoy the moment.

Accessibility and convenience were carefully considered in the layout of the home. The front entry is wheelchair accessible, allowing guests to enter comfortably without steps. Three of the four bedrooms are located on the main floor, making it easier for guests who prefer to avoid stairs while still providing plenty of space and privacy for everyone in the group. The thoughtful design allows guests of all ages and mobility levels to feel comfortable and at ease throughout their stay.

Step outside and the experience becomes even more memorable. A private hot tub offers the perfect place to relax while taking in the incredible views of the valley and surrounding mountains. After a day hiking, kayaking, or exploring local wineries, there is nothing better than soaking in the warm water while the sun sets over the Shenandoah landscape. At night, the mountain air becomes quiet and still, and the stars above the valley create a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere.

While the home feels secluded and tucked away in the mountains, the town of Front Royal is only a short drive away. Guests can easily visit local restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and cafes while still returning to the privacy and tranquility of the mountain retreat at the end of the day. This unique balance of seclusion and convenience is one of the things that makes The Vue such a special place to stay.

Front Royal is known as the northern gateway to Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, making it a perfect destination for outdoor adventures. Guests can spend their days hiking scenic trails, kayaking or tubing on the Shenandoah River, visiting nearby vineyards and breweries, or taking one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the country. The house is lovely and well appointed with trash bags, TP, and paper towels which was a nice surprise. The view is amazing and exactly as shown. The host was extremely responsive to all inquiries. The hot tub did have a bit of a musty smell the second day... not sure how often chlorine is added, but it worked well and was actually hot which is not always the case with rentals. Some reviewers have commented on the road to the house but if you've ever lived in the mountains it is nothing you haven't seen before. We had no issues getting to the house. We used our stay as a launch point for visiting the numerous wineries/breweries in the area and it is in a fantastic location for that.

Our family had a lovely time at The Vue! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a quick getaway. The mountain view was truly incredible and we enjoyed watching the sunrise with our coffee on the back deck. While there's not much of a yard, our pup enjoyed the outdoor space too! Thank for being a part of our family's special memories. We'll be back!

We rented this property to do an away game night with friends and it was great. The set up was perfect. The view is stunning. The central space both upstairs (kitchen and living room) and downstairs are very open, leaving a great ability to interact with each other. Everything we needed was there, the beds were super comfortable. Also, I'm always nervous renting on here out of fear that the host won't communicate enough. That was never an issue. Josefine made sure we had the instructions we needed in advance and they worked really well. Would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous location- be prepared for wind!

Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely book again. The house is located in the mountains, but it’s new construction so the roads are relatively new it appears. They are EXTREMELY narrow and VERY steep- wish we had warning about this as we drove a massive SUV. We paid for an early check in, which was $30. The rental company did not properly set up our check in and we were locked out in the freezing windy cold in the middle of nowhere until the issue could be resolved. It was not fun, and they never made it right by refunding us. We sat out there til it hit 4 on the dot and we could get in. We had originally planned to venture to local vineyards and caverns, but no way we were chancing that insane drive way/entrance situation again so we stayed put the whole weekend. And we are very glad we did! We rented this place for our annual friends holiday trip and it was so lovely. The home had everything we needed (except decent sharp knives but we always bring our own). We cooked, played games, and snuggled by the fire the entire weekend all while enjoying a STUNNING view. The wind made it impossible to enjoy the deck, and we were pretty worried the hammock may blow over but it survived and we were just fine inside :) Great spot, very clean, guest rooms were lovely and beds were comfy. We had a magical time! Had our check in experience been better or at least if the company made it right for what we had to deal with, we would’ve given 5 stars all around ☘️

Weekend at The Vue

The property has a spectacular view of the valley and built to maximize the beauty of this area. It was very well appointed with plenty of dishes, flatware and conveniences for meal prep. The great room is very large, attractive and plenty of seating for a party of six. It is a new house and pristine. Attention to detail is obvious in the design and building of the home. The road to reach the house is quite formidable and daunting at night. We will be back to the area and hope to stay here again. Hopefully when the area is more built up the road will be more user friendly for guests who do not drive an suv with 4 wheel drive. We have stayed in many VRBO properties all over the US, Canada and The British Virgin Islands and this property is absolutely one of the very best.
