Amenities of the cottage include a full kitchen with a Keurig coffee machine and wine bar, a full bath with walk-in shower, king beds, smart TV, and a private patio with ample outdoor seating, plus an arbor swing! Located in the heart of Fredericksburg, the peace and quiet afforded to guests at this property are unmatched. Spend the day on the town, then return to the chalet in the evening and enjoy the full kitchen and wine bar, perfect for a glass (or two!) in the spacious backyard. Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.

Perfect couple stay

This is a great place for a couple weekend. Owner was fantastic, showed us in and then left us alone, but if we needed something (which we did not) she was avaliable. Place was very clean, decorated great, everything we needed. Felt very secure. Couple miles from town.

Unbelievable property and gracious host

The Artist Chalet exceeded every one of my expectations. The setting is beautiful, the chalet is so beautifully decorated including several paintings by the property host. If you are looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating and peaceful getaway, choose the Artist Chalet. I will definitely return soon.

The Artist's Chalet was wonderful. It was exactly as pictured and described plus so much more. The host went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience from snacks and cereal in a basket to beverages in the refrigerator to artfully arranged towels on the bed and in the bathroom. We truly felt pampered. Would definitely recommend this property when staying in Fredericksburg. Very close to town but in a quiet neighborhood.

This quaint chalet guest house was stunning. I didn’t really look at the pictures when I booked it, and I’m pretty happy I didn’t, as this was a VERY pleasant surprise. Clean, decorated for Christmas, well-kept. The owner was sweet. The location was quiet, yet conveniently located. Absolutely enjoyed our stay, and we were sad to go.

I never got to come to the cottage. It turned out to be a horrible weekend. First my car kept giving me a "check engine light" so had to have that fixed. Then a cousin passed away and we had to attend his funeral out of town. My plans to have a relaxed weekend, attend a Christmas party - all ended up put aside. Thank you anyway -

Fredericksburg Getaway

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Artist Chalet. It was extremely clean, neat with exquisite decor. It was also well stocked with drinks and snacks. Very nice sitting area in the front, which we enjoyed, since we had perfect weather. We would definitely stay at this location again and highly recommend if you want a quaint getaway.
