The room was disgusting. Vents clogged, carpet with many spill stains, bugs in light fixtures, shower seals all cracked, rusted door hinges. $600 room was like a motel 6. Checked out on wedding night and went home.

The hotel maintained the old style hotel and it was a lovely experience, but there were a few things that should have been taken care of prior to occupying this room. There was no hot water at the vanity and i had to repeat several times to the front desk staff that the hotel needed to take care of that.

From the photos it looked like it was going to be a vintage chic and I was looking forward to the stay. It ended up being dirty and poorly maintained. The lampshades we fraying, the tv had to have been at least 20 years old, and the bathroom was tiny with a tricky toilet that would run constantly if you didn’t check on the handle and make sure it didn’t stick. Now the amenities for a hotel that certainly isn’t cheap were lacking. No mini fridge, so any leftovers would have to be thrown out. I had food from a previous stop and since the room didn’t have a microwave either I asked them to heat it somehow. They told me no, so I had no choice but to throw my food away because it didn’t taste good cold and I had no fridge to keep it from spoiling. The walls were paper thin so they supply earplugs, which may help you sleep but during the day my friend and I could clearly hear the full conversation of the room next door, and they weren’t yelling. Our room was internal, so we had no real window which kept the room dark. The beds weren’t comfortable, cheap bouncy mattress with stiff sheets. *If that weren’t enough, the housekeeping staff came in and left our door unlocked and wide open all afternoon.*

Don’t stay here ! Toilet ran all night keeping us awake. Dirty floors. Black mold in all the tiles/grout of bathroom. Missing bath towel bar. Too bad. It could be a great place, if it was taken better care of. We won’t be back.

Loved the hotel and the historic feel. Noise and sleeping is an issue but there is nothing they can do about that so bring a sound machine. They do provide earplugs! Totally worth it though!
