The hotel felt a bit rundown. The noise traveled extensively between rooms. You could constantly hear doors slamming from guests and cleaning crew. There was no where in the lobby to sit and lounge unless you were buying food or a beverage. At the end of the night while trying to get warm by the fireplace and no one else there, we were asked if we were hotel guest and also asked to go back to our room. Check in experience wasn’t what I would expect for a five star hotel. Just disappointed all around.

The hotel is simply wonderful. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making our stay comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are clean and quiet, providing a peaceful environment. However, we encountered a minor inconvenience one morning when there was a hot water issue. Despite this, the hotel promptly compensated us at checkout for our inconvenience and expressed their sincere apologies. Later, we discovered that they had to install a new boiler using a crane, which was quite a feat considering the narrow streets of Dublin.

The room was as expected, and staff was friendly. The only thing was disappointing is the fact that 5 star hotel don't have their own airport transfer arrangement and wasn't helpful to organise that. It's challenging when you come from different country trying to figure the transportation, especially during the Dublin Marathon that the hotel should inform guests considering that the transportation would be affected . Nearly missed my flight.
