Overall was all right and clean. Great location for being at the DCC event. Just a few things to consider: - the building has poor insulation between rooms and also the exterior, very noisy. - Only 1 elevator was functioning of the 3 and it was busy due to event at the DCC. - Had to request soap and shampoo since the bottles in the shower were empty. Personal was very polite and quick to help when I complained. - Breakfast was just scramble eggs, cereal bars and fruits. That isn’t a “continental breakfast”. No meat and no bread/ pastries/ waffles. - No employees available in the breakfast area. - free hot chocolate at the lobby was a pleasant surprise for a cold day.

They saying of putting polish on a turd is ideal for this dump. The elevators do not work. The parking garage wouldn’t take my ticket to exit so I had to pay for parking twice. Don’t try to call the place either ..they don’t accept calls. Only texts. Good luck !

The heat in my room (1210) did not work whatsoever. I tried everything. The hotel staff was responsive and kind. However, we were unable to get the temperature to raise or to turn on the lights behind the bed, either. This was extremely frustrating because we had booked adjoining rooms (1208 + 1210) and I couldn’t leave the room because I had young children sleeping in 1208. It was offered for late checkout (which I appreciated) as well as a discount or reimbursement on the booking. I am hoping for communication.

Hotel was obviously still being renovated, but this was not an issue. One thing that was bothersome was the in-room lighting. The lights by the bed are too low for reading. The lights for the room are mounted on the walls instead of the ceiling and they're very bright. When you look around the room you are blinded in two directions. Also, they don't provide good downlighting for the desk. I suggest a little variation in the breakfast offering too. Not an unpleasant stay.

Room was recently upgraded as well as the hallway s and lobby. The online check in and QR code system was not optimal. The QR code entry locks were finicky and required multiple positioning to open doors. They need to be adjusted. Elevators some times did respond to call forcing a call / text for help. Unfortunately at breakfast, homeless folks were watching us eat many thanks Trump

The Vitality Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Dayton. The hotel lojujbby was crowded when I arrived and I could not find the check-in kiosk - there is no registration desk or concierge - and a security guard said I was already checked in and could go to my room, but I wasn’t. I texted for help and was told someone would be there shortly, but wasn’t. After 15 minutes, I went back down to the lobby, which was now nearly empty and the check-in kiosks were quite obvious. Once I checked in everything went smoothly. However if you don’t have a smart phone staying at this hotel could be a real problem. The free breakfastp’´ is the best I’ve seen in any hotel. My room was right by the elevator, but between about 11pm and 7 am it was quiet enough that I got a good night’s sleep. On the down side, the hotel has 11 floors of rooms and three elevators, only one of which was working when I stayed there. Also, and this is a problem with many hotels, for guest safety all tub showers should have grab bars for entering and exiting the tub. Everyone needs these, not just handicapped folks.
