Every detail in our vacation home will make you feel welcome and relaxed! The huge private terrace has lounge chairs for you to enjoy sensational sunsets over the water. The living room, dining area, and kitchen all capitalize on the Caribbean Sea views, with plenty of natural light pooling in. There is seating at the dining table for 8, plus there are 3 tall chairs at the raised bar. The spacious kitchen features granite countertops and white appliances. Great stay in Cozumel

Close to stores and city central. Easy dock pickbup st the property for scuba trips. Pools (yes 3 pools and spa) were wonderful. Great for our family of eight. Cruise ship watching was fun.

Beautiful and nicely maintained unit. great location. Short walk to Dive Paradise dive center. You can meet there for your dive or they can get you from El Cantil’s dock. About a mile walk to town. Grocery across the street. Restaurants nearby. Can walk for everything you need.

Dream vacation

This is a beautiful property right on the water. Sunrises and sunsets were amazing. It’s in a great location next to two supermarkets and a short walk to restaurants. We snorkeled right off the dock and saw many reef fish. There is a nice community pool. Bedrooms are very spacious and everything was spotlessly clean. The art and details in the apartment are beautiful and add a definite luxury feel. 5 stars - can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Nice place to stay - too bad about the noisy neighbors :)

The condo was very nice and well appointed. The one downside to this unit is that the adjacent property is where the locals hang out. And are often very loud and can be there quite late. I communicated with the property manager in Cozumel who informed me that nothing could be done as it is not considered part of the condo property. I did appreciate the quick responses from both the manager in Cozumel (Eve) and the messages that I sent to Five Star directly.

Lovely condo at a great property

This is a lovely condo at a great property. This is the 4th time we have stayed at El Cantil at various different VRBO units. The view from the balcony is spectacular, and the pool is a perfect temperature. Mostly retired adults at this property. Most scuba boats will pick up right at the condo wharf and the snorkelling in the sea in front of the condo is really nice. Condo was well equipped and has everything needed. Cleaner comes three times a week. The owner was very responsive to our communication and flexible in checkout times. There is a Chedraui grocery store right across the street and plenty of restaurants within very easy walking distance. Overall fabulous place.

Best Location

Great condo with stunning views! The kitchen is well equipped, lots of seating for everyone and the 4 ensuite bedrooms work really well for couples. You can't beat the location of El Cantil. Mega is right across the street and all of Cozumel's great restaurants and bars are walking distance. The dive boats pick you up at the property and the pool/hot tub area is great after a day of diving.

Amazing property, but Carnaval impacted stay

The property is fabulous and as described. The location is ideal as it sits right on the main drag and within close proximity to two grocery stores. The concierge to help you get a taxi and handle your luggage was superb. We never had to wait. Do double check the taxi rate before you get in the taxi, because some of the drivers were charging more than the published fare. Housekeeping was great, and the condo was well-designed and well equipped. The kitchen contained everything you need. There were beach towels and sample shampoos abd conditioners to get you started on your stay. This is definitely a 5-star place. Had we come at any other time, I would have gladly given all 5 stars. There were 2 issues. A few days before our trip, we were informed that the jacuzzi was not working. That was a disappointment because we were excited to use it. The biggest issue was that there was a huge tent the size of a city block right across from the condo. It was there for Carnaval. Even though Carnaval was two weeks away, there were huge parties, with thumping base going until 4 am ir 6 am. It rattled the whole apartment, and nobody was able to sleep at all for most of the time were were there. It put a huge damper on our stay. The owners did allow a late checkout to help to compensate, but had we had advanced notice of the level of disruption, we could have prepared better or chosen a different date. If you stay during the month of February, you need to be aware.

Family vacation

Love this property, mostly for great water access (swimming, snorkeling). We dive out of the marina; thus, we had a rental car—it was too long to easily fit in south garage, so we parked across the street. Rental property was very clean, spacious, and had a stocked kitchen. In addition, beds were comfortable. Host was pleasant online and communicated well. Only problem with this location in Cozumel is the park/festival location nearby. Music usually ends by 10pm. Recommend having some drying racks on porch (for swimsuits). Great trip-will return again with our extended family.

Relaxing experience with everything we needed

Aside from being a spacious condo that has been well maintained, it came with an incredible staff. I never met Eve with Guest services but she texted me a couple of days before arrival and helped us throughout the week for things we needed. We weee greeted by Edgar when we arrived at the condo and he helped us get everything to our condo. He and the other guys on site were helpful every step of the way from figuring out restaurants (easy as walking down the street (same direction as the Mega), to helping with a car rental one day and getting a private boat tour to take us snorkeling. Location was also perfect. Snorkeling behind the property was far better than we expected (crystal clear water and deep enough that I never wore shoes), pool area was clean and well maintained, & 2 grocery stores within walking distance (I liked Chedraui as they had a guy Max in the parking lot that would bring our shopping cart to our condo, but the Mega was nice too). The area felt save enough that we allowed our 3 girls (16, 16 &13) to walk to the market by themselves. One of the key details was we saw multiple women walking by themselves and no presence of anything threatening). I do t think we could ever find a another condo with so many positives for a tropical oceanfront vacation. This truly was an incredible place to enjoy a week and have no worries. The only issue I had was it was near impossible to find bags of ice. I did ask Edgar a couple of days in and he was able to provide a few bags in a couple of hours for a reasonable cost.

Awesome property and location

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Cantil. The unit was as pictured and was even more spacious than expected. The location was ideal and everyone we dealt with from reservations, to housekeeping as well as the bellman were extremely helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Space, Great Time

El Cantil was the perfect place for us to locate in Cozumel. We were six people who in different pairings wanted to explore the island, eat, scuba dive and horseback ride. It was easy to connect with all these options, whether on foot or via taxi. Local restaurant food was great and the condo's proximity to the Mega Soriana grocery store made getting supplies in on day one an easy 1 block walk. The space was amazing with awesome views, a well-appointed kitchen and great bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Fantastic, easy time and would go here again without a doubt. The only build I have is that cab drivers, seemed to be playing a bit of a game on the location. "Is it El Cantil Norte o El Cantil Sud?" According to them they were "very far apart." In fact they are next door to eachother so either works. Great time and thanks to the condo team who was very friendly. Salut!

Beautiful Condo in Cozumel

This condo had everything we needed and more! My teen son enjoyed the ping pong table and the water access and pool which were clean and fun! The beach palapas were nice for adults to relax. The condo itself had everything we needed to cook meals, and we cooked several times, but the complex is also close to restaurants. I had family and friends stay and the condo is HUGE- there was more than enough room for all of us. I highly recommend this condo!

We have stayed in the El Cantil condo complex on several occasions over the years in different units. As usual 5A did not disappoint. We had ample space for 5 of us. Everything you need is in the condo. I have been renting condos / houses in Cozumel for over 20 years. 5A was perfect.

Overall Great Property

The El Cantil is a beautiful property. It is ocean front, has a private pool and beach area. The dive boats pick you up right on the property's private dock. The location couldn't be better. It is right across the street from Chedraul and a couple blocks from the Mega Mart. You can walk out the door and catch a cab very easily as they are lined up and down the street in front of the Chedraul. The condo was clean and VERY spacious and had everything we needed. The cleaning lady came twice during our trip and she was very thorough. Our only problem was with the process was check-in; and this can easily be remedied-and is partially my fault for not following up with the property manager prior to my trip. I kept checking my app and e-mail for check in instructions; but they never arrived prior to boarding the plane in Dallas. Once I arrived in Cozumel I did not have very good cell service. So when we arrived at the leasing office they did not have my reservation information (as they were not managing this particular condo). They finally realized the Gilberto (one of the security guys) had our information and he was able to get us set up. Later that afternoon (after connecting to Wi-Fi) I received the e-mail with check-in instructions, but was never able to get it to load. Everything worked out, so it wasn't a huge deal. But, it is an area that could be improved upon--and I will be sure to contact the property manager for any property I rent if I have not received check in instructions prior to departing for my trip. We had a great trip and again this property was GREAT! Would definitely recommend it.

Great condo, easy mgt. to work with

The property is clean, and has an amazing balcony that spans the width of the condo. 4 bedrooms, and each has it's own private bath. The furnishing within the condo is nice and adequate. the location is good, and there are several good restaurants within walking distance, plus there is grocery store across the street. There is a large -4 person hot tub on the patio. I would recommend this property, but there are a few things to be aware of, the washing machine and dryer are behind locked doors, and only the maid has access. Early in the evening, from about 6:30 to 9:30 there is an all inclusive resort, to the left of the condo, that has outdoor parties and it take get loud, but they tone it down after around 9 to 9:30. We tried to be out and about during those times. You only have one parking space, and there is no place near to keep a 2nd car, in our case we were 7 people, and made it by renting a medium size suv. The managment is friendly and obtainble, and they go out of their way to help. The AC works fine, and there is filtered water through one tap in the kitchen. I recommend this condo

Great location and condo

Condo was clean and well supplied from kitchen pots and utensils and bathroom towels. Beds and bedding were good. Appreciate the toilet paper, paper towels, spices etc... hot tub on balcony was wonderful and surprised at how much we used it. Nice and spacious. Well furnished. Cleaning staff was great. Location of condo is great. You can walk to town and grocery store across the street. A bit pricey as I know people who rented in the north tower for much cheaper.
