It was a lovely house but there was a lot of scheduled maintained happened during our stay (lawn and pest control etc.) Also just know there are no spices and no paper towels and no dish soap (which was odd).

Disappointing Experience

The house itself wasn't bad. Mostly clean and functional, yet a bit sparse on necessities that you wouldn't think to bring on vacation. One example is the house had baking trays, but no pot holders/oven mits. The main issue was with the management company. The grass had not been cut in what looked like weeks. Weeds were 6-8 inches tall throughout the yard and all the landscaping. Every other home in the development had freshly manicured lawns. The management company asked that i send them pictures, which i did. The lawn was serviced the next morning. The hot tub has chemicals that weren't dissolved sitting in all of the seats, so we were unable to use it the first night. The pool, which we expected to be closed due to the date of our stay, was not covered. The water was green and had leaves and debris floating in it. The management company said that some owners decide not to close their pools in the winter. The next morning I was awakened by Management company employees calling out loudly to reach other as they skimmed the pool. All of the debris, including plastic wrappers, leaves, etc that they skimmed of the pool was left next to the pool on the patio. Overall, the location is great, the house itself is just "ok" for the cost, but the management company was extremely lacking. I'll never rent from Outter Banks Blue again.

Nice house but…

Construction next door. I understand the noise, but we were impacted sitting at the pool by getting sprayed from power wash. Was not pleased by response from rental company.

Corolla beach house

The house is new and everything was in great shape when we arrived, although the cleaning team was still finishing up. Don't expect a "deep clean" like you would do yourself, but it was good enough ( handprints all over the doors and windows and appliances, under the beds were disgusting, etc). Floors and counters were great, beds were made, yard was perfect. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The grill was falling apart so we didn't get to use it. The location was perfect: a quiet street with a free fishing pier, and a quick and safe bike ride to the beach. One thing worth mentioning is the wifi. It was horrible. The guys in our group brought their laptops to game together and they couldn't even all log on at the same time, a total failure for a planned activity. I had to use cellular to scroll through Instagram on my phone. Forget about working from the beach or taking any Teams calls. The house itself was lovely, lots of room to spread out and/or gather depending on your mood. Plenty of furniture and pots and pans. Other than the wifi debacle, it was a wonderful vacation spot!

Great property!

We had a great stay at this beautiful house. Everything in the house was as described & very clean at arrival. Kitchen had plenty of things (including a K cup machine). We had access to a community pier that was just a few houses down. Beach was about a 10 min walk, next time I will rent bikes. Definitely would recommend this house. Communication with the management company was great too.

We’ll be back!

Property was fantastic. Water heater temp made for some luke warm showers, but that should be an easy fix for the host. Literally all else was perfect! We’ll be back!
