I hope you are well. I am writing to share some brief feedback from our recent stay at Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, which I hope will be helpful for service improvement.
We were not informed at check-in that the swimming pool required advance booking or that it closed at 6:00 pm. When we arrived at we were told it closed at 7:00 pm, resulting in us being unable to use the pool and having to return the following day on a day pass. The facilities were described as a five-minute walk, but it was not mentioned that the route involves a fairly steep uphill walk.
On a positive note, the staff member in the gym explained everything clearly, which we appreciated. However, during our stay we also experienced delays in receiving toilet tissue when requested, bedding not being properly made on day two, and some disappointment with breakfast — while the selection was good, the hot breakfast quality was poor and the juices appeared heavily diluted.
I wanted to share this feedback constructively, as clearer communication and some service improvements would greatly enhance the guest experience. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Cork where service levels we experienced were a step up from this.
