Myself and my husband spent last Saturday night the 19th August for one night in the hell that is the raddison blu hotel little island . What a disaster when we arrived to check in there was a wedding reception in the foyer where it was so loud the receptionist couldn't hear us nor could we hear her. Further on down the foyer there was somebody singing and playing a guitar for no particular reason only as if he was busking , we had booked a dinner package so as you do , you book a time to eat , eventually after waiting a while somebody came to take our reservation it was obvious we were only annoying her by doing so . There was a party of some sort taking place in the middle of the restaurant so when we arrived down for our meal it was still going on with drunk people everywhere and music so loud you couldn't hear yourself think . How there isn't a function room for that carry on is beyond me .We were offered the bar which is like a cattle mart , so I suggested they bring the meal to our room which they did but when it arrived 45 minuets later it was stone cold. Oh and the last thing the wifi wasn't working on the Sunday morningI have stayed in many a 4 star hotel and I certainly wouldn't call this one it . Be warned Never again

This Radisson has most things you expect from this chain but lacks the comfort and feel of many others. The room alloted was somehow warm and stuffy. Hard to explain the point but somehow the elements of the hotel did not make for a great experience. The layout of the hotel is simply not right. The entrance lounge feels like a corridor where you want to leave as quickly as possible. The bar is also fragmented and lacks coziness.

Just back from a one night stay here. It was my wife's birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary so we thought this hotel would be a nice break away. I had booked a double room with a double bed. What we got was 2 single beds pushed together. We have stayed in dozens of hotels in both Ireland and abroad and never before have we experienced beds so uncomfortable. After an hour or two trying to get to sleep, I woke at 5am with terrible back pain. My wife had the same complaint. These single beds might be ok for children but shoving them together for adults is a joke. In fairness the hotel in general was good with a nice pool and very friendly staff but this experience would stop me from staying again.

Relax and unwind. Two adults and two teenagers. We had a wonderful stay in the Radisson.. The staff were so friendly and engaging. The food was top class. We loved a visit each evening to the spa pool. It was so rejuvenating. Railway station only five minutes walk if you want to go into cork city. By car it's 25 minutes to Kinsale, 20 minutes to Cobh similar to Ballymaloe... this hotel was just perfect for us.

We went to a wedding here on the 4th of august. I just had to compliment the hotel & staff. From the civil ceremony to the end of the night everything was perfect. The decor & the food was stunning. The musicians & candy cart kept all the guests happy while we waited for the main meal. The staff were amazing & very thoughtful & looked after everyone so well. A special mention to Davi, nothing was too much trouble, our children were sat at another table from us with other children & even they were totally spoiled. Davi was good humoured & very happy to help with anything we asked. We didn't stay the night of the wedding but I heard from the other guests that they were more than Delighted with their rooms & breakfast so the next time we're in cork we'll definitely be staying here.

Hotel was ok room was very dated and not at all value for money also requested double bed and received 2 single beds pushed together. Food in bar tasted ok but was way way over priced. Spa was nice but baby pool was not heated as advertised. Will not be in a hurry to return

I pick this hotel as its close enough to M8 and i was on business trip. The location is quiet and the parking is ample. The building looks old from outside but its refreshing modern inside. Loved the room, nice modern touch on furniture and fixings. The restaurant was good, food lovely including the breakfast. Didn't try the leisure center. Will definitely stay again.

I've been staying in this hotel on and off for the last five months and I want to give it a big thumbs up. And it is all because of the staff. They are friendly, caring and always strive to take care of the customer. From the reception staff (Especially Julie, Emanuelle, Isabel and Tanija) to the people servicing the restaurant during breakfast (Marta, Dominicka, Isaac, Myriam and Giarda) and the staff at the bar (Alan, Ivana, both Dora and Dori!!, Kevin, Martin, David, Jenny, Aby, Anabella, Sean, Thiaum and Aitara), they always made sure to be receptive to my requests and in the odd time service was not up to par they made sure to recover quickly and with a smile. You could see this even if you had a request at odd hours as Attila, the night manager was always very gracious and obliging. This makes all the difference in the world. If you are in the Cork area for business, this hotel would be a wise choice.

No need to write a long winded review, but sufficient to say that yet again our family had another fantastic day/night here again en route to our holiday in France. Lovely room/interconnecting rooms, great leisure facilities, wonderful food in the restaurant and our favourite, the buffet breakfast with my porridge made to order, and the pancake maker for the kids, yummy. Thanks also for the lovely surprise gift in the room as a welcome back gesture, it went down a treat. Love the Radisson Blu Cork and will always choose this hotel when in the area, many thanks again.

We stayed two night with our 3 young children and had a ball. Creating at reception was friendly and very child friendly with welcome packs and tasty free drinks for a guests. They have a included kids club we used this both nights and Emma looked after our kids she was really lovely and done a super job. Rooms are modern style comfortable apart from very warm at night no A/C and if you open the Windows lots of motorway traffic noice. Outside temp in evenibg was 16 degrees C much hotter in room. There was a fan but not sufficient. The bar and restaurant use the same menu which was disappointing as it is quite basic in options. Ok for bar food but not as a restaurant menu. Plus no nightly specials we where there as I said two nights would have liked more to choose from. Kids eat free which is great and they have there own section for dinner and breakfast which is a great idea. We stayed Fri and Sat night would have been good to have some live entertainment in the bar to live it up a bit. The pool is super and our kids loved the water features which are many. We would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
