Comfy room. Breakfast was lovely - good choice and loved the porridge. Evening set-meal a little disappointing in choice, especially for vegetarians, and the desserts, in particular, were not good. Reception staff very helpful and accommodating.
We totally enjoyed our two day stay here. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, only thing ,renovations were being done and hallways were stinky. Would come again for the wonderful healthy breakfasts,Love the view from our room and the elevator,,,,the restaurant was great.
I only had one night in the Clayton Sliver springs hotel, as i was down on business. I had a very brief stay, but it was pleasant. My room contained two double beds, a small tv on the wall, a kettle with some tea and coffee. It also had a good hair dryer, which i am surprised about, as some of the best hotels i've been too have either had a really crap one or you had to go to reception to get one. Thumps up for the hair dryer! The room was a bit dated but i think they are renovating at the moment. Unfortunately for me, the night i said there was also a wedding on. There happened to be kids running up and down the halls till 3 in the morning. Other than that i didn't hear any other noise! I included the breakfast in my stay, which was really nice! they had all different kind of juices, "morning shots" (smoothies in shot glasses), different hams and cheeses, a full fry and fresh bread with tea or coffee. I didn't really get to explore the location as i was only down for the night working. My one note is when you are leaving the hotel ( if you are driving ) is to make sure you are careful getting onto the motorway as it is so dangerous.
Lovely specious spotless room. Very large comfortable bed and pillows. Great variety for breakfast. I didn't like the oil that was used for cooking ( my personal opinion ). Reception staff and waitresses on at breakfast very nice. The bar guy was not having a good day!!!! You can here the lift from the bedrooms which sounds like a chair being dragged from across the floor. This was heard by a lot of people. These are not huge issues, I loved the hotel room and slept extremely well. I would stay here again 😀
The reception staff in particular sabina, was so helpful with my stays in the Hotel and now I only stay there for my visits to Cork. Look forward to the great breakfast with so much choice too! Look forward to my next stay.
Stay with my wife, nice hotel, clean room. While I appreciate they are currently renovating and this is something that happens everywhere the elevator has to be the loudest one in the country, several times during the night while it was running we were woken up by it., now ok it’s not the end of the world but we pointed it out when we checked out the reply from the staff was “sorry about that, sometimes it’s makes noise and sometimes it doesn’t” obviously wasn’t our night so...... Anyway, overall the hotel is nice, staff were helpful and friendly and hopefully by the time we’re back the elevator will be quieter.
I stayed there for two nights. Room was quiet and clean. Renovations didn’t bother me. It wasn’t noisy. Staff very helpful. Food in the bar is very reasonably priced. The bath and shower needed upgrading. Very old fashion. Very disappointed with leisure Centre. Firstly I was not told in reception that I was better of driving too it since it is not on hotel grounds. I walked for about 10 minutes in the dark up a steep hill with no traffic or houses. Very poor light. It was even worse coming back. I had to go up to fourth floor and leave the building via fire exit door. When I returned I was 10 minutes waiting in the cold for the door to be opened. There was a very old intercom bell. I pressed the button and eventually I heard the sound I realized was releasing door lock. No one asked who I was. The leisure Centre was a sports complex tha5 I presume belongs to the community. It was not very nice nor relaxing. It did not appear to be family friendly. Not the typical leisure Centre you find in hotels. I was not made aware about any of this in reception. I was charged 3 euro for a towel and I saw after the small print on sport complex ticket that it took 10 minutes to walk to it. I’ll stay again but I will not be using dirty inconvenient sports Centre.
just stayed here for one night but what more could you ask for only 10 euro taxi journey away from cork city. The rooms are spotless, bar and restaurant are fantastic, would be first choice when i stay in cork again
Good location, bus access to the city, the pool is a 200m walk uphill, undergoing slight renovations when we were there, impressive setting ,food is very solid , breakfast choice is excellent, otherwise it is perfect for touring cork ,fota and cobh
