We were booked in a triple room, which we were told would be suitable for three adults. We were disappointed with the room and requested a change. There was not a chance of that happening. We were only booked for two nights in this hotel and were on a cancellation list for the Wednesday. The man at reception was not able to tell us where we were on the list despite several requests. We found out that some rooms had been cancelled and we asked for one of these rooms. All we were told was 'The Hotel is fully booked'. We got no satisfaction and we felt that we were continually being 'fobbed off'. We know for sure that more rooms were allocated on the Tuesday. The lady at reception was lovely . The food was 'just okay'. We stayed at their sister hotel on Wednesday(Maldron) which was lovely , as was the room. The staff could not have been nicer. The breakfast was lovely too.

Stayed here overnight for a conference in Cork. The hotel was easy to find. Check in was friendly and quick. Rooms were fine. Little dated. The breakfast quality was very good. Girl in the bar was very unfriendly. Ignored me as she was counting money into the till, was not happy when I called her.

Just called in to Silversprings with my wife, another couple and 4 kids. We live near so would rarely need to visit there. We had a number of coffees and drinks etc. We had only planned to stay for a few minuted. However the coffee was excellent, the staff were incredibly helpfull, friendly and efficient, and the kids were happy in the playground that we were able to see from our table. We ended up staying for a couple of very pleasant and relaxing hours. And at the end, the bill was a very pleasant surprise. Well done and thank you.

On the plus side - my room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is fine. Now for the not so good points - reception was not great on arrival. No welcome and there were problems with my room key. I had to return to reception 3 times before I managed to get into my room. I carried my luggage up and down in the lift 3 times and no offer to help. The problem was sorted but not a word of apology - bad start. The noise from the road is really annoying and the following morning the racket from the staff in the corridor outside my room before 8.00 a.m. was terrible. They were renovating the room next to me and the briefing on what had to be carried out that day was carried out in the corridor. I got up early intending to go for a swim but between having to go back to reception for a voucher – should be offered at check in – and the fact that the pool is not in the hotel I couldn’t be bothered. Bathroom really clean however the shower over the bath with a plastic shower curtain is back in the 80’s. Overall – just ok and I wouldn’t stay again

Stayed here for a night with my daughters in January. Nice central location, clean spacious rooms and good breakfast in the morning. Only complaint would be the leisure facilities are a bit of s trek and quite outdated but if you're looking for good value and central location, it's a great option

Excellent stay the staff were very friendly and helpful the rooms were very confortable and spotless I will stay again .I was a guest at a ball for a charity the food was excellent with loads of choices .

Selected this hotel because location suited me. Had apparently booked twin-bed room. At checkin, I was offered room upgrade with double bed for €20 - accepted. Port view not the most attractive - factories, containers, cranes etc. Room itself OK apart from the shower being one of those in the bath - I dont like climbing in and out - maybe my age! We were woken at 5am by VERY LOAD noise coming I think from the port - Horn, hooter, siren, ship? Went on for 5-8 minutes, couldnt see anything causing it. Had trouble getting back to sleep. AT reception next morning they hadnt heard it and had no explanation. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Car park seems to get very full - went round 3 times before I got a space - someone just pulling out. I would not be encouraged to stay again.

Have stayed here many times, mainly midweek however recently stayed at a weekend with a function on, absolutely impossible to get a nights rest on the 3rd floor due to those attending a function in the ballroom roaming around the hotel without any appreciation for those who don't want to join the party! Reception response, " we know its an issue", can I have some of my money back "no"

Pros room was good , clean and a good view. Cons, Poor slow dinner service , no condiments several food servers , Function on singing could be heard well after 5 am , went down to reception desk twice and no one to voice concerns, told reception in the morning did not seem to interested in concerns.

We enjoyed our stay at the Clayton Silver Springs. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet was extensive and well stocked. The hotel bar was nice. The only negatives we had were the TV reception, which was awful, and the location, it is a bit far out from the city.
