Have to mention the great staff in the restaurant, particularly for breakfast, Siobhan always greets everyone with a genuine smile and a quick chat, while still attending to the needs of clients. The staff in the conference center are also excellent, Jen and her colleagues make sure that EVERYTHING is as it should be, are attentive and very very helpful. It's an absolutely beautiful conference center and always a pleasure to visit.

Stayed here last summer and I must say it is like a different hotel. Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely meal in the casual dining area, very relaxed atmosphere, it was busy but the staff were well able and more than happy to assist. The room was fabulous I upgraded to a superior room on arrival for €20 which I thought was a great price for a newly refurbished room and it was gorgeous with a lovely view of Corks harbour. I would highly recommend this hotel, I will definitely be back. Thanks again for a great stay.

From a business point of view we use Clayton Hotel Silver Springs regularly. My latest stay was up to the usual high standards. The food is good and the staff are switched on and very professional. I was kindly upgraded and the room with a view of the city was great, thank you.

We stayed for 2 nights in a Junior Suite the jacuzzi didn't work properly,only 1 tap worked so it took almost and hour to fill and not all the jets worked. The stopper in the sink wouldn't open so there was constantly water in the sink. When we got into the room it smelt damp and there was mould on the ceiling and corners of the room. This is a nice hotel, with a good location. Staff are very friendly, food in the restaurant was lovely., we were advised when we were checking in that we didn't need a reservation for dinner. When we arrived down we were told we would have to wait 45 mins for a table as we didn't have a reservation.

Myself & my boyfriend stayed 2 nights in the Clayton and really enjoyed it, we stayed in the junior suite which was fab only flaw was the tap on the jacuzzi wasn't working so had to fill with the shower part so it took around 45 mins to fill it. The room was very clean except for mould on the celling and bed was changed daily and clean towels ! Staff weren't great there was one women on reception and one man that was in the restaurant that were amazing but the rest of them were quiet rude. We had dinner in the hotel one of the nights, we were waiting about 30 mins for someone to take our order but they did apologies and food was very fast about coming out and was great. We didn't use any of leisure facilities. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely stay there again.

Recently stayed here for one night, this is a lovely hotel on the outskirts of Cork and one of the finer properties of the Clayton group. The decor is very modern, the hotel was spotless and staff were superb. My room was located on the 3rd floor, the bathroom was small but recently refurbished and in pristine condition. I attended an event in the ballroom, the walkway was beautifully lit up, the food was fantastic and the service excellent. Breakfast is located downstairs from reception (a small sign would be helpful) they had a wonderful selection of cereals, breads, fruits, pastries and of course a cooked breakfast, plenty to suits all tastes. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again on a return visit to Cork for either business or leisure.

This is an excellent hotel. Stayed for our anniversary, the room was beautiful and staff were very helpful. Manager Tracy even went out of her way to source a tooth brush & toothpaste when I mentioned I forgot mine, and also booked us a table with a beautiful view. These personal touches really make all the difference when choosing a hotel. Will definatly be returning 😁

I am Robin O'Donnell CEO of Hibernian Antiques Fairs, Ireland's longest established countrywide Antiques Art & Vintage Fair organisers. We ran our Fair here every year twice yearly for 25 years. Our Cork National Antiques Fair was a resounding success over all of those years and we had a fantastic relationship with the previous owners. Both Fitzpatrick's and Moran's. When the Clayton group took over the Hotel they informed us that they would be doubling our room hire and refused to discuss it in any way shape or form. 25 years of loyalty from us counted for nothing as far as the Clayton group are concerned. Think twice before bringing your event here as there is no loyalty and your reputation means nothing. Just your money is important to them , not your reputation or the business you brought them.. PS. Us and our dealers spent huge money in this Hotel over the years. 20 bedrooms each time. All meals and drinks were had here and our 1,200 loyal customers spent serious money on food and beverages.

Stayed here due to attending an event. Booked an executive room and asked for an upgrade if available. Was told on arrival they had suites available but as they had not been renovated we were in the "best" room so chose to stick with what I had. The room was average and I would rate it on a par with a standard room in most hotels - the main reason I opted to upgrade was for the coffee machine which was there at least. There was only one robe (in a double room) which was missing a tie for around the waste and the way it was hung made me wonder if it had been used by a previous occupant. There were no facecloths which is a bugbear of mine. The meal at the event was good but there was no table service for drinks - even for a bottle of wine they made you go to the bar. At the hotel bar later I asked for a cocktail menu and was told they don't do them. Prior to Carlton taking over this hotel it was a 3* property and from what I see it still is and a poor one at that. Not sure how Carlton were able to get 4* as even at the executive level this hotel falls a long way short. If attending an event here again I will stay at one of the excellent hotels Cork City has to offer. This hotel is completely overpriced for what it has to offer.

We have lunch out most Sundays and would consider that we are easy enough to please and I have never written a bad food review. Today we went to the Bar in Clayton silversprings having been there about 18 months ago previously. We were bitterly disappointed with the food served today - the worst meal out we have had in years. My husband ordered the hake with salad and chips and I ordered the duck confit. While mine was pretty much as the menu stated it was far from tasty and lacked a good sauce. Duck confit is a favourite of mine and this was a huge disappointment. The hake arrived dry on the plate and when my husband asked was there any sauce accompanying this dish he was told no but I can see if there is a sauce in the kitchen. Waiter arrived back with a mushroom sauce which was watery like soup. The whole thing was completely lacking in finesse - any chef should be ashamed to have sent the plate of food out - you could tell by looking at it that it would be disappointing to eat. When we looked at a menu on the way out we remembered that the hake was to have been served with smoked salmon and caper butter sauce. (No sign of this anywhere). Overall we were extremely disappointed and will not be returning.
