Is NOT in the building in the Pic - DANGEROUS

The property is not in the building in the picture, it is however close-by and still in a 'good' location. The property has been fitted and maintained to a hostel/student-standard. Having consulted with my UK Gas Safe engineer whilst at the property this boiler which is located in the hallway wouldn't meet UK standards for gas safety. I was concerned at what appears to be an inspection point in the flue (pictured) which hasn't been recovered DESPITE BEING ON THE 3RD FLOOR IN A BUILDING WITH MULTIPLE APARTMENTS THIS HAS NO SMOKE DETECTOR LET ALONE A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR. I thought German standards were higher than this.

Wonderful location!

Great location right on the river Rhine, within walking distance to the cathedral, downtown. Hop on the tram around the corner and get wherever you want to go. The room was lovely as advertised and the staff were very accommodating. Would absolutely stay again:)

Eski, temiz, merkeze yakın.

Her ne kadar yorumlarda, başka binaya gitme ihtimalimiz olduğunu öğrenmiş olsam da, fotoğraflarda görülen, üzerinde Hotel Hayk yazan binada, nehre bakan bir odada kaldık. Resepsiyondaki kişinin ilgisi ve İngilizce'si, kişinin Alman olduğunu düşününce çok da rahatsız etmedi. Oda üst kattaydı ve ağır bavulumuzu, daracık merdivenlerden yukarı çıkarmak zorunda kaldım (evet, asansör yok). Odaya girdiğimizde, iki single yatak ve daha sonra odaya konulmuş bir yatakla karşılaştık (rezervasyonda king size bed olarak görünmekteydi). Odadaki eşyalar nispeten temiz olmakla birlikte gayet eskiydiler. Tüm bunlara rağmen, otelin konumu, kısa bir süre kalmış olmamız, oteli dayanılabilir kıldı.

Great location but not in a quiet neighborhood

This hotel room was more of a studio apartment. It slept me, my husband and young son comfortably. Location was close to the river, downtown area. If you're looking for a quiet night sleep, this room is not recommend. It was located on the main Street for night time crowd.

This hotel was great value and in a perfect location in Alstadt Koln. Lots of great restaurants, bars and activities are nearby. The main shopping district is less than 10 minute walk. Two downsides: - it would be nice if internet was included, instead of charging €2.5 a day - they have no ice available - they send you to a restaurant next door. We would recommend hotel Hayk.

Riverside location a short walk from the central station. Very helpful staff who located us to a private apartment 2 streets back from the main hotel as we were a party of 5. Appartment was spacious and in a perfect quiet location near restaurants. Hotel staff are there if you need them but also happy to give you space if desired too.

Fantastic, quaint hotel with friendly staff

Fantastic little hotel, the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was lovely and the room was spotless. The room was very spacious and the Rheine view was excellent. It was right near the main area for bars and restaurants but not noisy at night time, the Rheine ferry docks right outside and the lindt chocolate factory was a few mins walk. If we go back to Cologne them this would definitely be our first choice of place to stay.
