The house was perfect for our family reunion of 10. It actually looks better and bigger than the advertised photos! We loved cooking and eating our meals together in the kitchen/dining room, playing games around the burning fireplace, pool and ping pong in the man cave, movie watching under the loft, hot tub under the stars at night....It was bliss and we wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

Room for lots

The house has ample room for large groups. Plenty of room inside and out for mealtimes. Hot tub, fire pit, and recreation in the basement (pool, etc). It was very clean. There are problems with keeping it cool. It has portable AC units which don’t work adequately. If the temps are below 80 or so, it’s not an issue.

Wonderful and relaxing

I stayed with my extended family, a total of eight of us, who came from different states to enjoy the centerville house on the bumps river. It’s perfectly situated for everything you’d like to do mid Cape. The hot tub is absolutely amazing! The deck is lovely and massive, and the grounds are quite nice.

A nice home with some issues made painful by a challenged management company

Nice home that is well appointed. We encountered a few issues during our stay: a bed was missing pillow cases, there was a dead rodent on the floor and black mold/mildew in the downstairs shower. Otherwise, the house was clean. Second, when we checked in the house was 92 degrees inside. The AC was not central air as listed (only in upstairs bedroom), but several floor/window units, one uninstalled without a window spacer. The house smelled musty and suspect there were some flooding issues in the basement prior that hadn't fully aired out. The house has a Keurig coffee maker, a well stocked kitchen, and the outdoor area is expansive and accommodating for 8-10. We did not use the hot tub so cannot comment if it was functioning. Overall, the stay was fine. Vacasa has its challenges and the communication is not direct, relayed through a corporate center to the local staff.

Great home, poor communication

The home was lovely, had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning! Relaxing space in a quiet neighborhood. We spent hours on those game tables. The home was clean, the only thing was some mildewy spots on the shower liner on the 2nd floor bathroom. It seems like the home is managed by a company, not a person, so communication was automated and generally not too helpful when we did reach out. Once, I had asked a question via the VRBO app which was not answered, it wasn't until VASCA had texted me with booking details the day before our trip that I was able to text that number back and get an answer. The day we arrived, I texted that number asking a question about the fireplace, an hour later I got an automated text asking me to rate 1-5 how clean the home was when we arrived; then a couple hours later asking if we still needed help (not just answering the question). Otherwise, nothing wrong with the home itself!

Bungalow Overview

Check in & out easy - nice quiet, wooded location. Nice home but with some issues: leaky faucets in bathrooms and kitchen when running water, door handle falls off door going to deck from kitchen, grill does not burn hot, propane gas tank out on fire pit on deck, AC unit in main floor bedroom needs repair, cue sticks for pool table all missing tips except one stick, no lobster pot, stairs going to loft are extremely steep and dangerous

Beautiful Home

This was a family vacation with our children and significant others, ten in total. The home was just beautiful and plenty of room for everyone! The flowers, lawn and out door spaces were just as inviting! We had a great week and would highly recommend this home !

Excellent Stay!

Despite a blizzard and a loss of power we still managed to enjoy our trip thanks to the fireplaces and the candles provided by the owner. My only knock is that when we arrived the house was very cold because the thermostats were set to very low and it took several hours for the house to warm up. Once warm, it was amazing!

Lovely property - disappointing upkeep

Lovely property in a wonderful location (we have stayed here before.) However, the check in process was frustratingly poor because the key code we were sent didn't work. I think the high season, (now over) must have been very hard on this property. It was clean enough but at least 10 light bulbs throughout the home were missing/burned out. The ice maker/bucket was missing from the freezer (handyman later informed us it was broken - why wasn't there a note or better yet, a bag of ice in the freezer?) The barbecue was filthy. The Adirondack chairs out front and the patio table at back had to be thoroughly wiped down.. There were ants by the kitchen sink. Numerous other small issues: no recycle bin; no towels in two-piece bathrooms; chair back on kitchen stool broken; ignition on barbecue broken; air hockey game broken.... We were only there for 4 full days (5 nights) - a handyman came twice plus dozens of text exchanges with the property managers (received from three different text numbers) as we discovered new issues, resulting in a somewhat stressful visit dealing with responses while trying to have a relaxing time with family. I checked our texts from our last visit from the same time period in 2019 - there were only two maintenance issues - major issue was the handyman who never showed. Nothing that made me think twice about booking again. It's a real shame, because it's fundamentally a beautiful property.

Beautiful house

We had a great experience here! The house was beautiful and perfect for a low key girls weekend away. Close to cute local bars and breweries, or perfect for staying in and having a cookout by the pool and hot tub.

The house was just as beautiful as advertised!

We had a wonderful family time in the house. It was super clean and neat, well equipped, nice details and overall we all loved it. We spent 4 nights there and felt like we wanted to stay longer ! We would definitely rent this property again! Great location for a family of five, grandma and girlfriend.

Great house for the whole family

The house was just as listed clean and spacious. The living room was nice and big with plenty of seats for playing games and hanging out with the family. Each bedroom was a great size. The outdoor setting with the large deck and hot tub was nice for relaxing as well. Overall great stay.

The property was great, but hat was better was the property manager group. When we got there the key Entry and hot tub weren’t working (Christmas Day). They were there on the phone immediately and we were able to get in. The sent an agency over to fill and balance the hot tub, too. Great customer service.

Great Property but Disappointing Interaction with Property Manager

The property was large and well appointed - the pictures were accurate. It was very clean and well stocked. My only disappointment was with the property manager, Turnkey. While they always responded to texts instantly and very politely, my issue with them was that the information they gave was either wrong or didn't answer my question. For example, before we went, I asked what type of coffee maker there was at the house. I was advised "Keurig", so I bought K-cups with me. The coffee maker was was a regular drip style so I had to go out to buy ground coffee. There were problems with a door to the closet in the downstairs bedroom, a light was burned out in the kitchen and we couldn't find the overhead light switch over the pool table in the basement. I was told someone from Turnkey would come on Saturday to help. No one came. Then I was told that someone would come to the house Sunday before noon. No one came then or at any other time on Sunday or ever. I got a text presumably to tell us where the light switch for the fixture over the pool table was. It was for the light switch for the downstairs basement generally - when I asked specifically for the light switch for the fixture over the pool table, there was no response. So while none of these issues was critical to our enjoyment, I am glad that nothing truly serious happened because I have no confidence that Turnkey would have done anything.

Outstanding!

Our group of 10 adults absolutely loved this place for a getaway weekend going on 35 years of rotating locations. Great layout conducive to getting people together, especially the deck/yard/hot tub area. The owners make a genuine effort and preparation for guests to enjoy themselves. The property management company was available 24/7, which we needed a couple of times, and they were responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Fabulous house for a group

Beautiful property, inside and out. Many areas, plenty of room to spread out. Excellent ammenities...absolutely everything we needed (from shampoo to Salt&Pepper to laundry detergent to beach chairs) was there. Communication with management company was timely, courteous and superb

Relaxed, care-free stay

Lovely home, no detail spared. It was extremely cleaned and stocked with all kitchen/bbq wares you need. Propane fire pit every night under the stars. We especially enjoyed the kayaks on the river, and the game room on our rainy day. Centerville is a nice location, close to everything. Free beach parking pass. Will return to this home again.
