The initial room we were given (102) was not up to the standard I was expecting and didn’t match any photos online. It also had a zip link bed and was so uncomfortable. I sent a message via Expedia and in the morning went to the reception to ask to be moved. Annette, the assistant manager already had another option to show me and also showed me an executive suite which was similar to the standard I expected after viewing online. They were very helpful and I appreciated being moved and it being dealt with so quickly. The location to climb snowdon was perfect Thank you Annette for your help

Hotel is traditional so has a nice feeling about it , but also a bit like fawlty towers. Our room was small, had a broken shower door that leaked onto the floor and the toilet was located in a way that if you are a biggetr person, you may struggle to use it. The hairdyer was missing from the room and the bedside lamp had no bulb in it. Staff were nice but the food in the bar is very average. Brekfast was ok, but only 1 hot drinks machine, so always a queue

The hotel rooms that we saw were very run down ( we changed a couple of times as the rooms were so poor). Communal space fairly nice as is restaurant.

The mattress was old and lumpy, and the gutters need repairing to prevent the sound of rain coming down sounding like someone urinating outside window. The bathroom although big, was a bit grubby and it was impossible to get the temperature right in the shower. On the plus side, the food was excellent!
