First glance it looked nice, nice Christmas decor in the lobby. Had a great conversation with FD staff. We spoke about our hotel backgrounds and 3rd party bookings and how hotels hate them. I commented on past experiences and how hotels would give 3rd parties their worst rooms and that some hotels still do ie. bad views, disrepair, noisy etc. she guaranteed they do not do that and all rooms are the same. She then put me in the 2nd floor of a 5 floor building that was not busy. The room had a disgusting view of the roof and a lip that acted as a wall to cover any view. There was garbage and what looked like feces smeared on the wall/roof. The room had bad patch jobs from water damage and mold. The lamp shade was old and crushed, the tile had all the grout out from in between and the tiles actually rocked loose when you walked on them. The grossness in the bathroom light switch was unbelievable. The restaurant staff, some guy, couldn’t be bothered to get off his phone. I had 5 people for dinner and had to insist he wait on us. I had to take drinks to him to be refilled, he eventually caught on and started doing it. The food tasted like it had all been frozen and just heated up. I almost left without paying because I forgot and he never brought the bill. Again I had to go to him. There was a quinceañera going on and all the kids (under 8) were roaming all through the restaurant and running screaming, not one person said anything to them. I’m attaching pics

The room seemed clean and the front desk was welcoming. Unfortunately none of the tv stations worked. The room was very dark, with only a light between the beds and a lamp in the corner. It needs a few more lights or brighter bulbs!

Decent hotel, not walkable to anything, was near a wedding. Not fancy by any means, but it is a Hilton Garden Inn. The staff was stellar. Rooms very clean but walls were thin. I almost felt like I was sharing a room with the people in the room next door. And the thicker shades don’t shut so the lights from the parking lot shine in our room all night. Breakfast was nice.
