Where do I start? Besides the lobby, this place is outdated and poorly managed. They put us in a room that was SO old, small, and dirty, I was incredibly shocked. Our first room was also so far and being pregnant, this made it incredibly difficult. Im talking 4 hallways to walk around and then a smaller mid hallway that the bellman even said he had trouble getting around. They then switched us to a different room that was just as small and old. This hotel needs a complete renovation!! The hallways are gross, food trays left all over the place, loud workers all over, and lots of slamming doors. You could literally hear the showers being taken from above and next to you, and all morning we listened to slamming doors and voices (even over a white noise machine). It was like being in a frat house. Not to mention, the service was incredibly slow, both at the front desk and asking for anything to be delivered to the room (took over 2.5 hours for a pillow and towel). Save yourself the time and headache and stay at the Encore!

The room was very good. The amenities on the gold level were also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of breakfast options including fresh fruit, croissants, breads, fish, omelettes, bacon, sausage, and cereals. I would definitely return to this Fairmont.
