Shower water cold the first day but fine that night after I called front desk. Bathroom is old, no counter space including small sink and floor cold. Living area fine with bed, tv, closet and dresser drawers though needed heater on to stay warm. No microwave in room but had fridge. Did have shared microwave area. But good value for Catalina accommodations.

The staff is amazing! They took great care of us during our stay on the island. The room was quiet and very peaceful. It is an older hotel, but one I would stay at again. Unless you’re looking for top amenities, this is a solid choice.

We were given a room (305) that I assume they don’t rent out often because when we arrived there was mold on the toilet seat (under the toilet seat cover. The lid of the tank didn’t fit so it would be jostled around when using the toilet. I took the lid off and saw mold in there as well. The internet didn’t reach our room though it said it was connected. The bed and linens were clean! It was nice to have an older style wall heater so we could easily control the temperature. The furnishing are quite dated and worn including the ceiling fan. Not sure how a ceiling fan can be worn but the finish was coming off.

The room was cheap, there was a huge cockroach in our room. We also left 3 coconut waters in our fridge by accident when we checked out and came back an hour later to get them but instead found the hotel staff in the lobby eating food drinking our coconut waters. You could say that we had checked out already but the hotel staff knew we were returning because they were holding our luggage for us (really just told us to put it in the corner of the lobby) so they knew we would return. You could at least just put our coconut water with our stuff. Really funny thing that happened with the coconut water but still not ok. I would definitely spend the extra money at another place.

No one answers the emergency line and their mailbox was full. No one was ever at the front desk- even 15 minutes before checkout and they close super early . No one cleaned the room or even replaced towels and toiletries. The room was cold and the beds only had sheets and a stingy blanket. The ocean view was obscured by trash and storage of broken patio furniture. Yeah… not going back.
