The bathroom was dirty and moldy. The shower shampoo and body wash was empty. Towels smelled and were stiff. Staff was unfriendly The kicker of the stay was the pool. Our friends got in in the am. The gate was locked so staffed opened it for them. Once in they realized there was poop floating by their heads!!! Management claimed they didn’t know. The other staff member said they knew it was closed for maintenance. Our friends asked then why did you let us in?!? Management refused to take ownership for their mistake and comped $20 off their room. She beyond rude to them. We couldn’t be happier to get out of there! We will never stay at the double tree in Austin again! Which is a shame because we come back every year for family

It would have been very helpful to know that the “lanai rooms” do not have a window to the outside!! We had a sliding glass door to the indoor pool which is basically in the lobby adjacent area. So you get chlorine smell and no outside view. There was also a kids birthday pool party which ran well last 11pm which is exhausting when you’ve been awake for 36+ hours. At least we were able to check in early and the bar staff was nice. The front desk staff was very indifferent. We got our cookies and parking was free, but this was the strangest DoubleTree ever and I wouldn’t want to stay there again.

Why pay 3.00 for a cup of coffee when I can get one larger for 5.00 what I want down the road. We didnt use the pool, hot tub, and stsy one night. You have to be a rewards nember to even drink the bottled water in the room or they charge you 3.00 each. Come on, really? Plus you pay for breatfast.
