Our stay at this retreat was fantastic! The grounds of the property are gorgeous, with pretty architecture and a relaxed, laid back vibe. The hospitality is really what made it though - we were greeted by our names and with smiles by every employee. If you are staying in the Dubai area, I highly recommend a trip out to the desert as it was the highlight of our time in the UAE.

The perfect retreat

This hotel lives up to its name “retreat”. The area is so peaceful and lovely. The team kind and welcoming from the outside guard to the reception desk to the waitstaff. It was just what I needed and the price was reasonable for everything but the good. The breakfast is overpriced for a standard buffet that you find in most hotels in the region.

We absolutely loved this property! I could write a book about why it was so awesome. It was so peaceful and calm. It was like we were the only ones there. My kids enjoyed playing in the pool. All of the employees were phenomenal with customer service. My kids were too small to really do any of the experiences so I asked if they could just see the camels and falcons and they said sure. Jamal was amazing he drove us around and was patient with my kids even though they were scared of the animals. There were other employees but I didn’t get there names. The lady at the front desk remembered me after I called 2-3 days prior to visiting. My only issue is that the food was a bit pricey but other than that I had an amazing relaxing time even with 2 kids ages 2 and 5. Will definitely be back and I hope it is very soon. Thanks Mysk!!!

This is a glorified motel even though the pictures don't look like it. The property is right by a highway and surrounded by dune bashing activities and sketchy areas. Wherever you are in the property, you hear loud road noises (unless you go into your own room). We booked two rooms and wanted them next of each other. The receptionist said the best she could do is two rooms that were separated by a room in the middle because the hotel was so booked (which turned out to be totally false). Our shower didn't have hot water, so instead of changing our room, they sent someone to do plumbing late at night. We couldn't shower the first night bcs the plumber couldn't fix it after an hour, and eventually the hotel offered us the room next door (the one that's in between ours and our parents') to shower in. So the receptionist was purposefully not putting us in the adjacent room to our parents. Overall the property does mostly look like what's in the picture, but we were very disappointed in the room, the area it's in and its service. Highly recommend looking somewhere else.

Åk aldrig dit!

Hotellet ligger bredvid en motorväg och ett område där man kör fyrhjulingingar hela kvällen. Hotellet hade inget att göra, pool området var smustsigt och ville man göra en bon-fire ha 150aed per person. Frukosten och buffén var väldigt dålig.

Desert gem

This is a lovely property with a lot of potential- it’s a bit under construction but will soon be amazing. The design is very tasteful, the service is impeccable, the restaurant is great, and there are plenty of extra activities like free falcon show or stargazing or movie nights. The outdoor pool is still under construction, as is the spa- currently it’s a bit frustrating that there’s only an indoor pool (the importance of reading the fine print), it’s like 35C in the desert so a pool would have been quite welcome. However, once the pool is ready this property will be a real gem.
