Wow,clean comfortable and very convient to every need you have. Easy transportation to and from all areas of the city. Local stores, restaurants and other shopping all a 5 minute walk away. Highly reccomend this hotel/apartment.
Nice sized apartment. Great shower. Initially was sceptical with the location but it actually turned out to be great. In a quiet residential area and the main road had multiple restaurants with multiple choices. Grocery store nearby. Tram station right in front. 10 min ride to bahnoff strase main shopping area and similar ride time to old Zurich.
Our time at City Stay Kieselgasse 2 Zurich was one of the best experiences we have had while travelling the world. At first we thought that being 2 kilometres from the city would be a drawback. How wrong we were. The S16 train ride from Zurich Airport to Tiefenbrunnen was fast and stopped about 600 metres, a short walk or 2 tram stops, from the Apartment. A tram stop is directly outside the apartment which goes directly into the city and also goes directly to the main train station and bus station in the city. This is exceptional for getting to the Greyline Bus and other bus tour departure areas. The apartment is well equipped for self contained holidays and a number of supermarkets, COOP and Migros are within one tram stop. These supermarkets stock all your needs for a short or long term stay. With double glazed windows in the apartment there is minimall noise from the street. The front desk staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. There is a self service laundry in the building and lifts to all floors. There are numerous eating places in close proximity to the apartment and Lake Zurich is a short walk away for magnificent views of the Swiss Alps.
I stayed here with my wife and 2 year old for three weeks after moving to Zurich. It has everything we needed to live happily before moving into our permanent home (spacious, clean, comfortable, cooking facilities, the city centre, lake and excellent playgrounds are all nearby). The staff are brilliant and responded really well to our little one. Thank you to the City Stay Kieselgasse 2 team!
good location, spend 9 days. very clean, recomended!! one bedroom apartment is very big with nice living room and nice kitchen room with all you need. the staff help with all information and needs. much better then hotel.
First off, nothing in Zurich (or Switzerland in general!) is economical. With that, we know that we weren't going to get a great value, however, we appreciated most everything about this apartment. We checked in on Christmas evening, and were especially grateful that there was a staff person to check us in. Our 2 bedroom apartment was more than adequate and the #4 Tram (which takes you to the main train station) stopped right in the front of the building. With that, the noise of the tram was sometimes annoying, but we got used to it. If wi-fi is important, our coverage was very sporadic. Overall, a nice place that is definitely clean and comfortable.
We ended up staying in a 2 bedroom apartment in this hotel. Check In was easy and the reception staff very cooperative. The Apartment was well kept, new and comfortable. Location was very good and I would recommend City Stay to all!!! Thank You!
Our family stayed here for three nights. We had a two bedroom apartment that also had a nice sized kitchen area. This is good value for what you get because many hotels in the Zurich area do not have the space that you get here. Everything was clean. The apartment was full of natural light. The location is right next to a tram and bus line, so very convenient. There are also a couple of small food stores nearby and some nice local restaurants. A plus for travelers is there is a laundry facility in the basement that cost roughly 3 CHF (in total) to wash and dry a load of clothing.
City Stay Apartments has two locations in Zurich, just blocks from each other. We stayed at the Lindenstrausse location, which is in the Seefeld neighborhood, less than one block to the tram stop and two blocks from the lake. The apartment was large and clean with plenty of storage space for luggage. There are no staff on site but they are available via phone, text or email and were most helpful. Unless your stay is one week or more there is no housekeeping but fresh towels and toiletries are available upon request. This was a great alternative to staying in a hotel room for less money.
This company has no values, as simple as that. Here is what I experienced with my booking: 1)The room has nothing to do with the pictures, simply a different room to the one showed in the pictures of what I booked. 2) Customer service and care is inexistent 3) They charged me TWICE for my booking 4) Dirty and dusty, also the balcony full of ashes and cigarettes when I checked in 5) pre-World War I lighting, two ultra low consumption bulb lights to "illuminate" a entire dark apartment. 6) Light in the corridor broken for days, they don't fix it to save costs so be ready to fall at night if you walk through the corridor 7) Architectonic barriers, not prepared for guests with disability or someone with wheelchair Spend a few Francs more and avoid problems
