The rooms are clean but really small. Bathroom was clean and nice hot water. We got a queen bed room and the room is basically the size of the queen bed 2ft on each side of the bed. The only way we could open a full size suitcase was to put it on the bed. Location is good. Its like a 2 minute walk to the Zanzibar ferry station. Breakfast is excellent. Fresh fruit juices, freshly made eggs.
Roaches crawling on us while sleeping,tv not working,one bright light for room no lamps,shower not draining properly,mosquito spray odor throughout room,breakfast was not worth mentioning! Bed sheets were not fully clean.Definitely not worth the amount of money charged or ratings it received on orbitz
Breakfast was great. Other than that nothing was positive; batroom was leaking, sheets was disgusting (blood marks on all sheets) ,roaches around the room. Worst thing is according to staff these are ok and I am making them a problem because I am Muslim. Thanks to the lady who came in the morning otherwise, they would capture me there one more day since I already paid for two nights.

Hotel is located in a great area of Zanzibar (within walking distance to many things) but the actual hotel facilities were lacking. The rooms are TINY, so much so that it's uncomfortable really for more than 1 person to be in the room. The floors were not cleaned. The refrigerator was completely empty. The drain in the shower was terrible and a bit dangerous with all of the water accumulating on the slippery floor. Since there are other hotels right in the area, I'd recommend spending a bit more to get a better sized room, possibly one with an actual view of the ocean.
