Ikke vildt gode til engelsk, men da vi havde bestilt et værelse til 4 personer og fik et værelse med to MEGET SMÅ queenssize senge. Fik vi snakket med værterne og der fik vi et værelse ekstra så vi kunne være der. Morgenmad: svingende, men ok. Ikke det helt vilde, men smagte fint. Værelse: ingen fungerende aircon. Kun fan. Sengene var mindre gode Fin pool og roligt område.

Amazing Escape!

My week long stay at Changu Beach Resort on the East Coast of Zanzibar was easily one of the best and most relaxing holidays I have ever had. Even though it was peak season the area was still not that busy that you get trampled by tourists. The rooms are great, the views are amazing, and the service was friendly and chilled. This resort is the perfect place to go to just unwind. The hammocks under the trees and couches on the sand, as well as the beautiful, big pool all helped me forget about the stress of the year. The beach is right on its doorstop if you want to go for an ocean swim when the tide is in. There are also fun water activities close by and a walk to Paje Beach is well worth it and not too far. Finally, the owner - Ernest aka Mr Changu, went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable. He is extremely welcoming and he really went above and beyond. I will definitely be back!

Wir haben das Zimmer über Expedia gebucht und einen Transfer über den Besitzer per E-Mail (bestätigt). Bei Ankunft hatten wir schon mal keinen Transfer und mussten selbst schauen wie wir zur Unterkunft kommen. Dort haben wir 5 Stunden auf den Besitzer gewartet und KEIN Zimmer bekommen! Wir mussten uns eine andere Unterkunft suchen!!!!

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

We never made it into our room. We showed up and were ushered to the beach bar where we stayed for two and a half hours while they tried to break into the room we were intended to stay in because they said they lost the keys. We tried to order food while we waited but they were out of half the ingredients on the menu. Other hotel guests approached ya while we waited saying the same thing happened to them when they tried to check in. Finally at 11pm they told us they didn’t have a room for us to stay in and that they were ushering us 15 minutes down the road to a different place to stay for the night until they could sort this out. While we waited other guests told us they had found blood on the toilet, had leaks in the roof of their rooms, and even woke up with mysterious bites on their bodies. We saw the bites-these were NOT mosquito bites. We ended up booking a new hotel and are still fighting to get our money back. Do not, under ANY circumstances, book with this hotel.

Shemsa was absolutely welcoming and great throughout, attending to our needs and being very pleasant and nice. The rooms were not cleaned daily, we had to beg the cleaner and towels not supplied enough. in general the room was small with the 2 queen beds and one shelf. The owner was also nice and helpful, not too many guests so we had the place to ourselves. The food could be better, especially the breakfast needed some variety. But we could walk somewhere else to eat as there are many places in the surroundings. Overall pleasant stay. Definitely value for money.
