This fantastic town house is located right in the heart of York city centre, on a quiet street, so you have the best of both worlds - easy access to everything in our historic city with peace and quiet when you want it.
Full of character and arranged over 4 floors, the kitchen and dining area is in the basement, with living space on the ground floor, and the bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. There is a master bedroom with changing room and ensuite bathroom on the 1st floor, and a double and twin on the 2nd floor, sharing a shower room (the twin room has zip and link beds to present as a twin or a super-king on request).
The kitchen/dining room is well fitted, with an american style fridge-freezer, and Aga, and also a washer dryer in the utility room. Dining area will sit 6 comfortably. The living room spread over the front and back of the ground floor opens out to the rear yard space through french doors with outside seating.
Packed with oodles of character, this is the ideal house for family breaks or groups of friends getting together to explore the city. Please note there is no parking with this house, but there are a number of car parks less than 5 minutes walk away.

Superb location. Prove to a little more expensive than usual as it was a busy weekend in York. Gorgeous place however, we were very pleased with it. We would definitely stay here again.Only note is it could be if it from an after hours number to be made easily visible. The boiler went out one night (to be fair the instructions in the boiler worked to sort it out. The boiler was just very hard to find.)

Wonderfully located beautiful property!
Our family (2 adults and 3 grown teenagers) loved staying at this property. We arrived in York by train and chose to walk to the property. It was an easy walk from the station. The property was easy to find and once we arrived we were in awe of it. The property is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There are 4 levels which means quite a few stairs to climb. We thought this added to the historic feel of the house and enjoyed that detail. The living room/sitting area is very large and with 2 couches to relax on. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and our daughters appreciated each having a comfortable bed to themselves. The photos that accompany the listing portray it accurately. The kitchen in the lower level was fully equipped for our needs and included a washer/dryer and that we used to do a bit of laundry. The location of the townhouse is unbeatable! It is on a quiet street and very close to all of the sights we wanted to see in York. The minster is just down the road around the corner to the right and to the left you will find many shops and places to eat. Monkbar (entrance to the city walls) is just a short couple minutes walk to the left, also. Everything was so close that it was easy to return to the property during the day if needed to drop off shopping parcels, etc. The property owners were helpful and easy to communicate with during our entire experience. We hope to be able to return again in the future!
