Four generations stayed at this location as a gift to the great grandparents. It was ideal for that purpose. The playroom off the main house with a door attached was ideal for closing out the noise when things became too chaotic. There was SO MUCH to do. Once it became warm enough for us to, we got outside and then really fell in love with the house. We own a business and immediately began thinking about bouncing back for a management retreat. The only cons are small enough to not be deal breakers. Ie The traffic noise is pretty noticeable in the bedrooms but they’ve provided sound machines that do the trick. I wish there were more reviews because I would have felt more relaxed in the lead up to the weekend if so.

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend New Year’s Eve. The home was beautiful, with great views and a stunning Christmas tree that made the holiday atmosphere extra special.The hosts were wonderful, very attentive, flexible, and truly a pleasure to communicate with. Everything was perfect from start to finish.Thank you again for such a memorable stay. This was honestly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we would absolutely love to return.

A perfect place to stay

We found ourselves in wrightsville for my son’s wedding at Lauxmont Farms. Since we live 1 1/2 hours away we needed a place close to the venue for all the weekend activities. Rivers edge proved to be the perfect place. Only 2 miles from the venue made it super convenient. Being right on the river helped us have a beautiful relaxing weekend. The property is spectacular. The owners were very quick to answer all questions. They also were able to provide us with a great recommendation for our Rehersal dinner on Thursday night. Burning bridge tavern had private party rooms that were perfect and everyone loved the food and bar service. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend the property. Especially if you have a wedding at Lauxmont farms !!

Pre-Easter getaway

So enjoyed this wonderful property and its riverfront location. Only con is noise from the road, but white noise machines provided helped. Host was responsive and helpful before checkin, answering lots of questions. Property totally lives up to the listing!

Beautiful home

This place is the ideal gateway for families with children. We had all adults and could have used some more beds. There are several beds in a playhouse with low ceilings, perfect for kids. The location is perfect. The common areas were excellent. Overall we had a great stay.
