This is the second time we have stayed here, (two years ago), again in the two bed loft. We had our daughter with us, who is sixteen, and she thrilled at the prospect of having her own suite with bed, tv, closet, and bathroom that could be closed off from the living area. The kitchen has always been clean and stocked with all the items we needed. Breakfast is the second biggest reason we choose it. Complete with turkey sausage, scrambled egg whites, Greek yogurt, veggie scramble, pastries, fruit and nut/granola toppings, different selections that rotate daily. The service by breakfast lady Theresa is friendly and efficient. She and her staff keep food hot/cold and the tables perfectly clean. We drove 11 miles away from Hanes Mall hotels, the area where our family we were visiting live, just to stay at this hotel.
I see that others have had the same experience at this hotel....the breakfast exceeded all expectations!!! Theresa, Precious, Yolanda and Cynthia were amazing and very welcoming. Aside from the cleanliness and freshness of the breakfast bar, they were so hospitable and helpful. Will choose this venue for the breakfast experience alone if I am ever back in the area.
Great Staff, Wonderful rooms, location, best breakfast and the ladies are very dedicated to and love their job. Wow. Very well trained staff. We will definitely return to stay at this particular Charming Residence Inn, every chance we gets, second time within months.
Rooms was spacious and spotless with large kitchen and utensils, great front desk, great breakfast, great and knowledgeable staff. I must say that, this is the best service I ever had in a Marriott hotel. Condo style property is a little old but uniquely beautiful and well kept. Also you have to go upstairs for the most awesome breakfast experience with those ladies. We found a gem in the state of N.C. We definitely return to stay at this hotel and invite others to experience this awesomeness.
We stayed at the Residence Inn one night on a college tour. Traveling with a teen, we rented a penthouse suite, which had one bedroom to close off and a loft for our son. The hotel seemed pretty run down as I was checking in and as we walked to the door of our suite. However, I must say that, putting appearances aside, everything in the suite was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it really seems to be the closest place to campus. Thus, although it has a lot of mileage, the Residence Inn served our purposes well and was a good price for what we got.
Stayed this weekend for the fourth or fifth time in two years. Rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and to my eye, not particularly outdated. Furnishings are in good repair. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The customer service at breakfast from Cynthia and Precious was outstanding! They made you feel like there were family. The condo-style accommodations were great as well. The amenities were just enough.
We have stayed twice (3rd night already booked) at this Marriott facility. First visit spent a week in a 2 bedroom suite (2nd bedroom is a loft with its own full bath). Main level had a private King bedroom with full bath) & TV; sitting area with a large TV; and kitchen area including stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, pots/ pans; plates & utensils; and seating counter. 2nd stay was on a ground level unit, with the above amenities. They also have a complimentary evening wine & munchies; as well as a very nice breakfast each morning. Convenient and quiet location to the Winston medical facilities; and a great value. Clean & comfortable. Highly recommend and wiill be staying there again soon. Steven & Diana
Cynthia, Theresa, Precious, and Yolanda are very consistent when it comes to customer service. I've stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple of years, and the food is always hot, and the pans are always full!!! If you need something, they get it to you without any hesitation.
I have stayed in the Residence Inn when my son and I were looking at schools. Great location, morning breakfast and a kitchenette!! Our most recent stay, happened to be for Parents weekend. The staff was attentive, courteous and did everything with a HUGE smile. We came back after the saturday football game to find a "gift' in our room. A handwritten note, THANKING US for staying there along with a delightful pumpkin spice mini cake...I mean who does that in this day and age??????Wowsie. Talk about class. Way to go Winston Salem!
