Very basic clean comfortable rooms and the staff was very personable and helpful. . Close proximity to I-40 bus and downtown. . I thought room was a little over priced for a Econo Lodge. .Serve a free Continental Breakfast.
I have stayed at the Kernersville Econo Lodge several times. The overall cost is fair, however, not sure why they do not offer a military discount. Rooms that are supposed to be non-smoking often reek of smoke. Furniture is dirty and the cheap cleaning supplies used smell awful. This past visit I found the bathtub filthy with obvious black and dirty soap scum. Unfortunately, only a few of the staff seemed particularly friendly, which I found strange for North Carolina where everyone is friendly!
This a good hotel for a night or two. The rooms were clean and they are in the process of updating their rooms. My room had a deep soaking tub and the shower had good water pressure. They do not have refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms that is the reason I say it is good for a night or two. The staff was very courteous and friendly.
Terrible. I travel often and I'd have to say this was the hardest oldest bed I've stayed in. Uncomfortable all night. Cobwebs in the shower indicated level of cleanliness. Stay here only if you must. I won't go back.
This Motel looks like an old sixties Holiday Inn repainted has plenty of large truck parking, it was clean only one ice machine in the front building suggest breakfast at the Waffle House across the street
Not much to say really, the hotel is just not what we are used to from the Choice Hotel group. The place is fairly old, has that lovely old-motel smell, carpets that you don't feel good about walking barefoot on, bathroom that is tiny, worn furniture & fixtures, no pool and minimal breakfast items. Not a place we will stay again when visiting the area.
My wife and I arrived to the hotel around 11pm after long days drive tired and ready to sleep. Soon as we opened the door you could smell moldy smell that was not pleasant. My wife went to check the shower and there was a clump of hair in drain. (no exaggeration and actually clump) Grossed out we decided to go to bed. I lifted the bedding was stained with who knows what. The sheets appeared to already have been slept on. They did not look they way they would if coming from laundry. We then went to car and grabbed sleep bags because we would not been able to sleep otherwise. I Iaid down on my sleeping bag and as I turned my head to direction of the lamp I was horrified to what I saw. Someone had actually ejaculated all over the wall . It was dried up on wallpaper. Not sure how it could have been missed by cleaning staff . I cant judge all rooms but this place looks more like place u rent by the hour then for the night. We would have complained but by that point was almost midnight and we had 12 hour drive ahead of us 6 hours from then. Never the less 0 hours of sleep that night.
Here for a couple of nights, very basic rooms but clean. The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom facilities were all clean and in decent working condition. A little issue with cold air coming in through a gap under the door but in general it was ok.
This hotel is bare bones at best, but relatively clean. It was a non smoking room, but you could still smell stale smoke odors. The sink had no stopper, so I used a wash cloth to stuff the hole, since there was no strainer either. It was a molded counter/sink unit with slanting sides, so I was afraid something would fall into the drain hole. The room did have a fridge and microwave, which was a plus since I was traveling with meds that require refrigeration. I had an electric cooler with me, but was glad I didn't have to get it from the car. Continential breakfast was just that, no hot items, though you could make hot oatmeal or grits.
We checked in to room 104. I noticed a smell. We went to dinner came back and as soon as we opened the door we were blasted with the stench. My guess is mold and cigarettes. Looks like they tried to clean up the place but the walls held the smell. We immediately checked out.
