Spacious room, nice view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Great location, very near to several restaurants and a convenience store. Hiking trail to go to top of Mount Scenery is just around the corner. Small pool to relax by (although the water wasn’t particularly clean). Bathroom very small but water in shower was hot and with good pressure. Bed big but was not overly comfortable (it wasn’t super bad but could have been a little softer). Small basic continental breaky included (toast, cheese, ham, fruit cup, coffee, juice). Staff at reception and in restaurant were friendly, as was the taxi driver. Great economical price compared to other locations on the island. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Saba. One tip for booking you room...I actually got a cheaper price by booking through than if I had booked directly with the hotel.

This place has basic rooms, but, has a super friendly and helpful staff as well as a collocated restaurant and bar. With amazing views of Windwardside, Mt Scenery, and the sea, you can’t go wrong with staying here while in town.

Let’s start with the good , every room has a good view of the hills and ocean . Now that I have Been here I would ask for a room on the second floor street side . The breeze should be better there and a little more privacy because you are now abouve street level . The three rooms away from the street might be quieter from the road but it is next to the bar and restaurant. I also do not know if they get a breeze because the building is Lowe then the street side building and it may be blocking the wind . The place is old but it gets the job done . The staff is friendly and it comes with a continental breakfast for free . You go to the restaurant and sit outside where there is a southwestern view of the ocean . This place is in the center of town , two blocks from the seven restaurants in the windward side . Now for the minuses , it is in the middle of town so noisier then other places I have stayed at . Most places on the island do not have ac because you usually don’t need it with the great cool breeze.

Spent a week there in April diving, hiking, and drinking! Fell in love with the island, the people, and the culture. Scout's was a decent place to stay with simple but functional rooms. Not fancy, but pleasant, clean, and peaceful.

Hospitality is great. Nice people at the desk and bar/resstaurant. Free wifi. Bedrooms are ok. Bathrooms are a bit tight and the sink was in between the wall and shower. I could barey use it. Bed was big and matrresses are comfartable. At arrival i drink the water. LAter i heard that was not a good thing to do. But there was no bottle of water in the fridge. No signs in the room i could not drink the water etc. I didnt get sick but i didnt feel right. Swimming pool .... i would not use it :) ..... another thing was we booked including breakfast. (Later we saw and heard that should be a continental breakfast). We ordered another breakfast instead which was around 14.- instead of he continental of 8,50. After we heard that we should have ordered the continental we expact to pay the difference between thise 2 for each of our group. Instead we had to pay the full amount ..... Saba is a great island for a visit. The hotel is also a nice place to stay but there are some simple improvements to make it even better.

We spent the weekend there and it was great from the start. The room was what we expected well cleaned as well as the bathroom; we had a fridge, coffee machine and a T.V. The staff was excellent they provided the best service especially the owner Barbara. We had the best island tour and our taxi driver name George he has so much patience with us a job well done. Don't forget to have the Caribbean style breakfast out on the terrace.

This was our second visit to Saba and it was saved by Barbara of Scouts Place. My husband and I started our vacation at a different hotel, but decided to leave because we really didn’t like it. We went down into town to see where else had availability and we met Barbara at Scouts. She offered us a better room for the same price as a regular room because of a cancellation. It had a lovely balcony with double French doors that let in a lot of light and a beautiful breeze. The room was cleaned and mopped every day. There was a great pool that we laid by every afternoon, and a continental breakfast was included every morning. In the restaurant there is an outdoor section where you can sit and gaze at the stunning view. The owners, Barbara and Wolfgang are friendly and inviting. They make you feel like friends instead of customers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

Scouts place was comfortable and clean. The people of Saba and everyone working at Scouts place were more like family by the end of our week’s stay. If you are lucky enough to be there when Wolfgang is cooking- be prepared to amaze your taste buds!

We stayed in one of the better rooms with a balcony facing the ocean. The view is simply magnificent! The room meets many of our standard needs in this quiet simple setting. Lots of storage space in the bedroom and table tops to organize things. I wish I could say the same for the bathroom but it is a bit tight. The restaurant and bar serves up delicious meals. We also had a lot of fun with their Friday night karaoke event. However, there are no window mesh and no mosquito nets. Given that there is no air-conditioning, we have to leave the windows open and let the mosquitoes have their way with me. Also, they should spare a little effort removing dead bugs floating on the swimming pool.

Great Location, close to post office, bank, magnificent views from your balcony, wonderful maid service and a great breakfast menu too! Conveniently close to shops, grocery store and information services. Very helpful folks at the front desk.
