Value is about right. High maintenance folks be warned. A diamond in the rough if someone wants to buy it. We would go back as it was a really fun stay
Morning by the river was wonderful
Got a welcoming greeting from Jerry at the front desk. We was very pleasant and spot on with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Very charming town.
This historic motel was almost perfect. The one thing i REALLY needed was conditioner - not a second shampoo! It was not luxurious, but for the $$ it was clean, convenient, and uniquely historical - and was within a block of a fabulous restaurant, a great diner for breakfast, a few shops & a tavern. Our room looked out on the river, abd ww opened the window, inserted the screen, and let the flowing water put us to sleep.
Everything I'd expect from an small town Inn! Cool little town too.
A nice place to stay in southern Vermont. Not a lot of frills, but a clean and adequate, New England getaway in a small town off Main Street with a few restaurants within walking distance and a variety of sites, mountsins, and trails within a ten mile radius. The owner, Jerry was a great host and helpful with information about the area. My room was small, but clean, rustic, and a comfortable bed.
Got there around 7:30pm, no staff in the office. Keys and instructions were in an envelope which was easy enough for us. Place is classic Vermont. Smaller, dated rooms and bathrooms, but pretty clean considering. Thin walls for sure. If you need a place to stay that is close enough to Mount Snow this is an easy and affordable choice. Tavern was not open they had coffee in the morning. Location was really nice, walking distance from a few restaurants. 15-20 minute drive from the mountain. Will stay there again when I need a bed between runs. ***Just be aware, a lot of restaurants close early there on weekdays. Walked into Dot’s and Jezebel’s and both kitchens were closed at 8 pm on a thursday during Christmas break.
Hotel is old but is very clean. Our room was small but they have larger rooms as well. Very friendly owners. Riverside rooms have beautiful view.

Hi Anonymous. Love to have the restaurant open and it breaks our hearts not to be open but over the last years in our 70's it was just to much work. So many, people like yourself, who have been coming for years say the same. Come join us again when you can.
Dear Anon. Thank you so much for your wonderful numbers. Come see us again. Sheila.
