I was visiting my daughter that is 4 hours from me, and with her moving I needed to find a place to stay that i can enjoy time with my grandbabies and daughter during cold months. And i am so more than pleased with this visit. Thank you for letting us make memories together. I WILL be back.

Breakfast menu was unique for hotel breakfast, but platters was empty and not refilled Room waa definitely worn down (rusty shower, ripped chairs, etc) and housekeeping wasnt the best (ceiling fan was left in with no way to turn off, had to call for basic toiletries) but front desk staff was the best Ive encountered in quite some time- friendly yet professional, responsive and anticipatory.

On October 31st, I checked into the Four Points in Newark around 12:30 PM. I changed into some clothes and lay in bed for a few minutes before leaving for an appointment at 2:00pm. Although the sheets were clean, I smelled a strange odor. I didn’t think much of it and left for my appointment. When I returned, I lay back in bed. I smelled a maple-and-urine smell I couldn’t shake. The sheets appeared clean. I pulled back the mattress protector to find a large urine stain on the mattress. I immediately went downstairs to guest services, showed them pictures of the room, and they offered to switch my room. When I arrived at the new room, the door was open, and the cleaning staff was finishing cleaning it. I explained I had been moved there and mentioned my concerns about the previous room. They reassured me it was clean. I pulled back the mattress protector, only to find another mattress with urine stains. I called the cleaning staff outside the room back, to have a look. They seemed unfazed by this discovery. I then went downstairs and showed guest services a photo of the mattress. Lawrence at guest services assured me he would personally ensure the third room met standards. After about 15 minutes, he returned to say the available room had a strong odor and wouldn't meet my standards. He advised me it was best to find another hotel. I am from NC, traveling alone, and had to find a hotel that offered late check-ins. At 8pm.

Rooms and overall decor are quite dated, but otherwise good functioning kitchenette, bathroom, mattress on the bed, etc. Probably could use some new pillows but otherwise a comfortable stay, if you don't mind living in a style that appears to be from 20 years ago. Super friendly staff!

The breakfast service was the best I have had in a while and I travel frequently. The room was nice and clean but the fridge and something to do with the AC was very loud switching on and off and woke us frequently throughout the night (we had a 7 night stay)

The check-in was easy and Jane was so helpful. Our suite was clean, well stocked. Great breakfast with lots of options for all, from a hearty breakfast with sausages to chia seed pudding. Located near major highway and stores. Will definitely be staying here again.
