We've stayed here several times and have always been impressed with how incredibly friendly the staff is. They absolutely go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Everyone greets you each time you come in and out of the lobby.
This hotel is a good alternative for the budget conscious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. the hotel is nothing fancy but clean and comfortable and well worth the money paid. Parking is not super great and the entrance is only accessible from one way. However, these do not deter from the experience.
Why spend big bucks on a hotel room in a 4-star hotel when for a little sum you can stay here. The room is adequate, meaning there are no elaborate decorations. The bed was comfortable; the bath was large and clean. The Wi-Fi worked well and was free. There was a refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave - and they all worked. Plenty of free parking, and a free breakfast. What more could you ask for? Well, the desk was too tall to be really useful for work, but there was a desk and an office chair. I have stayed at many 4-star hotels that offered far less.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights. The room was very clean and we had a walk in shower. The only thing we were disappointed in was the room, we had a King room and there was hardly any room. The room was small. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with waffles you make. The hotel was very quite and peaceful.
Had to make a trip to the front desk EVERT night after the first night. Reasons for trips to front desk consisted of having to ask for new hot cups, cold cups, coffee, tea bags, washcloths. We were there for 6 nights. Bathroom stool not cleaned during entire stay. Shower cleaned only some days. Trash only emptied some days.
This hotel was horrible. The room smelled like human waste and mold. The bathroom was dirty; hair and stains in shower. Freshly painted, but it could not hold down the mold smell. The people were very nice, but the hotel is old and needs to we remodeled ASAP. So bad that we went to the Embassy Suites next door for $10 more.
Quick on/ off 95 Corridor. Clean room, friendly staff. Older rooms with newer upgrades. Noisy heater in first room. Offered a new room . Keys were at desk waiting for us. Friendly kitchen staff
My conference was at the opposite end of campus, but no problem - a 10 minute ride and I was at the conference. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the first floor was ample - hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, toast, and hot waffles. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Good hotel for the money.
The bathroom was amazing, nice size tub and great water pressure... BUT that bed! I could have gone outside and slept on the sidewalk and found more comfort! And what are 2 people supposed to do with 3 small square sized pillows??? Cut 1 in half? They weren't even big enough to fold in half to add support.
I stayed in this hotel due to the convenient proximity to University of Delaware. However, while the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, two things about the building were terrible. 1.) The building is tired. The carpets are stained in the hallways and the bathroom was in desperate need of painting. 2.) The smell. It really smelled "moldy". It is too bad because it is in a great location, the staff is very nice and the price is very reasonable. However, it needs a refresh in more ways than one!
