I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean, across different countries and budgets, from very affordable to luxurious. Without any doubt, this has been the worst of them all, even compared to basic resorts. The infrastructure is clearly neglected, with no major renovations in years, only superficial fixes that do not hide the deterioration. The resort feels old and uninviting. The food is the biggest disappointment: the buffet offers almost the same food every day with no real variety, themed restaurants are very few with extremely limited menus, and items often run out without being replenished. There are long periods with nothing to eat, and after 10:00 p.m. food is practically unavailable. Desserts are particularly bad, essentially the same cake in different colors. There is no online reservation system; you must sign up in person and sometimes wait up to two hours just to eat something very limited. Much of the restaurant staff is unfriendly, while the entertainment staff is excellent and truly committed. The beach looks nice but the sand is mostly rock. The island is excellent for snorkeling thanks to its crystal-clear turquoise water, but truly paradisiacal beaches are elsewhere. The lagoon-style beach is pleasant but artificial, ending at a wall and surrounded by old infrastructure. I chose this hotel due to the limited all-inclusive options on the island and will definitely not return.

There are also long periods when there is nothing to eat, and after 10:00 p.m. food is practically impossible to find. When food runs out, it is not replenished. Desserts are particularly bad—essentially the same cake in different colors. The restaurant system is terrible: there is no online reservation system. You must sign up in person and sometimes wait up to two hours, listening for your room number to be called, just to eat something very limited. The attitude of much of the restaurant staff is unfriendly and sometimes uncomfortable, with only a few positive exceptions. The resort’s beach was a great place to lounge around. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. The dining choices were decent with above average food. We did wish there were food/snack options available between the regular dining hours of operation. The rooms were satisfactory, although we did not have hot water for the first three days before it was addressed. Our children wished there was a dedicated pool that was available for use with extended hours as all the pools were closed off starting at 6 PM. I give the resort a solid 4 stars only because of some of the shortcomings I had mentioned.

The rooms that we got smelled moldy and the AC wasn't very cold, the rooms on the other side seemed to be more updated and better. The pool was good, and the beach front is excellent. The entertainment staff was the nicest staff around and really made our stay worth it, Candyman, Crazy G, Pencil, Breezy and Mr Ellie were incredible.

The closest thing to a digital catfish that I’ve ever experienced. The photos posted online do not match the accommodations. The property is old and does not carry the weight of the years well. The worst part was a tie between a dysfunctional staff that did not communicate with each other and gave my family often wrong or misleading information (a sign says an amenity would open at 11, by 11:30 no staff member was there or it would open at 11:45 one day and 12 the next with no explanation, or they would routinely run out of food and not seem to care about their impact on guests) and a terrible kitchen. No seasoning to the food at all. Straight from frozen package to your plate. I’ll never stay at another Hyatt property. The experience and the staff were that bad.

No help with suitcases to rooms, got offered a $200 coupon the day I was checking out (found out I was suppose to be given this the day I checked in and I never got it), called room service 16 times Christmas Eve night along with the front desk, and the Sun Club members desk and the operator and no one answered. Christmas Day room service still wasn’t answering but I got on to the Sun Club members desk (phew) they told me 35-45 mins for my order (nachos, chick sandwitch and beef burger) the order took 1.5 hours and closer to two hours member services desk is telling me that they can’t get in to room service…..the joke is when my sandwich arrived half way in I realized that 1/4 of my chicken was raw! Big Steups.

Outdated resort with no areas to hang out at the bar. Beach was huge which was nice but overall the resort lacked what we were looking for. Food was subpar even for an all inclusive. Room had a nice balcony (sun club junior honeymoon suite) but was missing half of a shower door. Ended up transferring to Dreams.

Unobstructed beach views. Excellent staff. Rooms need updating but who is in their room much with this gorgeous beach front awaiting you. We see improvements in both the property and quality in f food since last year. Already planning on our return for next year.

Please beware of fraudulent practices and false advertisement!!!! I want to provide a summary of my experience so no one else deals with this. I booked a stay for 2 nights and 3 days. I decided to upgrade and book the SunClub which is their “VIP” members only program and includes “upgraded amenities”. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SUN CLUB. It is not as advertised. The only promised upgrade was the separate check in and checkout. The pool on sunclub is small, no one at the bar to serve, no special sunclub bar as promised and the beach on that side is extremely rocky and crowded as they are clearly overselling falsities. The beach at the rest of the hotel us not as rocky, the mainpool is huge and has multiple bars way better than the upgrade. Second , I was placed in a room in a different section of the hotel that was not located at the sunclub building. When I complained multiple times each employee LIED indicting that it was an upgrade. However based on my research the room they placed me in was smaller and cost less than the one I paid for. Not only that but the air conditioning DID NOT WORK. I went down to inform them of this and they indicated they would send someone and had to wait an hour to have someone tell me they can’t fix it. They were unable to move my room at the time so I requested a fan to get me through. Using a fan to sleep in an all inclusive upgraded room is CRAZY. Aside from this there were bugs and little geicos in the room, the bathroom sink drain did not
