Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Wichita East

Nice hotel, that looks like it used to be an apartment complex. The rooms are very large and offer a nice kitchen, bathroom, and even fireplace. The only drawback is that in the back there is new building construction, so be careful of screws in the tires. Wonderful staff, would definitely stay there again. Feels like a home away from home ;-)

The only issue I had was having to constantly request a refill on toiletry items.

For Hawthorn, let alone Wyndham, to put their name on this facility is unbelievable. Units are in desperate need of repair on the outside. Stairs and decks leading up to the rooms have rotted planks and screw heads are sticking up. Trim around windows and doors is falling off or gone. Stairs are so narrow you can barely carry anything up them wider than your waist (and I have a 32" waist). Construction going on all around on the roads and new buildings. Interior; bed, couch/TV and kitchenette are basically all in the same room. Room temp hard to control.

First we get in the room and it smells like smoke! Even though, it is suppos d to be a non smoking room! It was clean or looked clean. It's very outdated and the bed had a big sunken place in the middle. Every time, we moved it made a noise. That mattress should be thrown away.! We were their for state Track, but If another hotel had an opening we would have cancelled our reservation and we went somewhere else. The staff was nice. But, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Not the Wyndham's we know!

Residence Inn style 2 bedroom suite. Clean and brightly lit. East end of town, secinds from Turnpike exit and 5 minutes from major mall and restaurants. Will definitely return and reccomend to anyone.

the hotel needed painted.. the room was big and clean.. the shower curtain rod was about to fall down. that was literally the only issue.. the breakfast was top notch for sure!!

Lots of construction at the moment but for a week long stay with multiple kids, everything was fine

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However the building was a little run down and there was construction in the area.

I am disgusted by the way this place looked smelled and felt. Extremely uncomfortable. Me and my wife are both seeking massage therapy and chiropractic therapy for our back pain from our trip. I'm requesting to be compensated for our stay. Not impressed at all.

This was nothing like we expected. This place was rated 3.7 out of 5 stars...as good as a newer Holiday Inn Express. It was far, far from it. The oldest, most worn carpet I've seen in a hotel in many, many years...with 3 separate tears in it. The furniture seemed straight out of the 80's and the TV although flat, could not have been more than 22 inches. The place smelt like stale cigarrette smoke. The breakfast bar formica was old and had a big chunk missing out of the side. One of the two chairs had a large rip in it. The bathroom fixtures were very old and well worn. I couldn't have my wife stay there. I spent the next hour booking another hotel and checking out of this one.

Rooms need upgrades. Carpets need cleaning. Took too long to check in. Someone tried getting into our room but we had the security lock on. They must have give out the same room. Wonder what would have happened if we were not in the room?

Our family came to visit a family member. The hotel is ok but you can tell that it is older and is in need of repair. Had to request fresh towels and go pick them up. The breakfast was the very min. Went to Old Cowtown museum and it was nice.

We were given a penthouse with a loft. Spacious, very comfortable beds, kitchenette, living room with fireplace, 2 bathrooms. Water and popcorn in the room. Breakfast was crowded, not enough seating. Otherwise great!

If you are a clean freak, don't stay here! Carpet needed more attention. Also time for update/renovation inside & out. Helpful staff & good breakfast.

Room was clean and looked like a studio apartment. Staff was professional.

We booked online and got a reasonable deal. The staff we helpful from the time we arrived and very friendly with our children in a good way. The room was as advertised, but the layout was a bit odd...once we got the sofa bed pulled out and the crib set up, there wasn't much room to get around the smaller suite. It was a studio, so couldn't expect too much, but didn't really have any place to work once the kids were sleeping, except in the bathroom (not too cosy there). A good deal for one night close to the interstate, but probably would not want to stay a week with that setup.

Hotel looked a bit worn and needs an upgrade. The TV did not work in the 1st room and I had to move to a room next door. Breakfast area was well stocked although small and cramped. Only one person at the front desk appeared to know what to do.

Rooms are large with nice comfortable bed and living room

Great hotel large room, we stat st two bed room apartment. Location is on airlane industry area and about 1 mile to mall and restaurant. Must have car to stay here.
