We have stayed here every time we have gone to Wichita Falls and have not been disappointed. Nice hotel, quiet, and clean. No breakfast but they do give you a coupon for 15% off at the Denny's with-in walking distance. Once again a few extra bucks and you can get one of the Suites and worth it.
Be careful when you book if you travel with your pet. On the main page it only said pet friendly but if you don’t read the pet policy, you don’t realize that they charge a $50.00 pet fee. I’ve stayed in several Hotels and this is the first time I had to pay 50.00 extra dollars. For that 150 plus I could have stayed in a much better hotel with breakfast included.
This was a harder review to write because the hotel designers tried and the staff was fantastic. THE GOOD: The room was larger than a hotel room but smaller than a suite. They provide a full size fridge, two burner stove, dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen area. A work table with two chairs as you continue on the left wall and then a LG flat screen with DVD player on the chest of drawers in the corner. In the other corner as you come around the room is a easy chair lounger, night stand and queen bed. The bathroom has one sink and a full bath. The water pleasure and heat are good. THE BAD: The room had a strange odor that we couldn't figure out why. The room across the hall was cooking sauerkraut but that was not it. There is a wicked two inch lip at the entrance to the bathroom that your sure to find in the middle of the night. The small shelf in the tub for the bar of soap will have you searching for the soap on the tub floor. And the major problem is the bed. My wife and I both had broken backs from the bed and you could hear springs as you moved. Their is one foot between the bed and the bathroom wall which makes it challenging to get out on that side. If you do decide to stay here the address can be misleading - you need to go down to MAURINE STREET Exit off the Central Freeway half block down on the right is the driveway.
The hotel is perfect for being near the city and accessible from the major roadways! You can't go wrong. My bed was one of the most comfortable ever and I travel A TON! Everyone was incredibly polite and thoughtful here! Get a room on a higher floor away from the elevator for the most peaceful sleep ever! Everything even smelled fresh and clean!
Room was small but had all the needed things like a fridge, cooktop, etc. Had one pillow that was not flat and actually provided some type of support. The pantry thing where you buy grocery items was well stocked and saved a trip to the store for buying snacks. Was able to get out and go running along the drainage ditch/bayou just past the white fence on the property which saved a drive. Was in a good location for getting to work in Burkburnett.
The staff was really good, accommodating and remembered my name after the first time I spoke with them face to face. The only issue I had was when I dropped my phone down behind the bed and picked it up I found beer bottles (3), however this area at the head and under the bed was dark and hard to see. We (my son) had to use a flashlight and get down on our hands and knees to find my phone, so this could easily be missed. I don't know of ANY hotel where the maids will bring a flashlight and get down on their hands and knees to look under the furniture (maybe they do and I don't know it.) I noticed the rest of the room was very clean. Clean linen, cold air, a reclining chair, full size refrigerator with ice maker, stove, microwave, coffee pot, weight room and laundry. If your staying close to the Air Base or just passing through this is a good place to stay. I have stayed at places where I have paid lots more money and it was not nearly as nice as this. Being a 'germ a phobic person' and hard to please I will definitely come back and stay here when visiting my son.
It was easy to book our reservation, and this room was much cleaner than much more expensive rooms along our route. I was traveling on my own with 3 sons so I really liked how quick & efficient check in & out was. The kids also liked checking out a movie. I was pleased to have a desk to place my laptop on and all the plugs for charging devices were well placed. Lots of hooks for bags/towels. The layout of the room was ideal to me for my crew. Would definitely patron again if in the area.
This hotel is great for families that travel with children. They have a full kitchen in the room. If you need a crock pot or griddle they have it at the front desk. Full refrigerator, dishes and silverware. Very space rooms. Pullout couch for extra sleeping. Friendly people. you can also purchase food in a little shop
First time in this area. Clean property, well maintained; easy on/off interstate access; close to restaurants and shopping; friendly staff; very nice guest pantry with a wide variety of products; room comfy, well appointed, with all the comforts of home. Fridge was full sized and the ice maker was great to have.
We spent two nights in this fine hotel while attending the Texas Square dance festival. The room was excellent, large and clean. The desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the snack facility and free coffee. The exercise room is well done and the free laundry came in handy. The Denny's in front was well used.
