Our room was so tiny and the washroom was super tiny. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but with luggage and two people staying all we could do is stay on bed as there was no space to be in the room. The reception area is very nice and it happened to be that Justin Trudeau was there as well, we didn't get to see him but his guards and all the conversions between them to know that it was him.
Great place in a great location. Staff were mainly friendly. Would highly recommend this place for couples, family etc. We booked a room with a kitchenette (not that we used it in the end) but this gave us plenty of room for our luggage. My wife suffers with a bad back and this mate it hard for her to get into the very large hot tub/shower. The deck was a great place to grab a meal and a few drinks and breakfast in the restaurant was great. Location to the main street and many attractions made this a very walkable stay.
The room was nice and relaxing. Easy to get too, and with great parking. If you want to walk downtown, totally within good walking distance. Price was reasonable for that part of the world. Love traveling the Alaska Highway in the Fall.
I typically travel through Whitehorse a couple times a year. Have stayed in numerous other hotels. Not any more. I will make sure to book in advance and stay here at the Coast. From room to restaurant to staff, everything was great! We travel with our dog, and I don't mind the extra fee, as long as it goes toward extra deep cleaning. Theirs must, as our pet room was spotless. Thanks for the great stay.
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and I have always enjoyed myself. The staff are kind, take the time to get to know you, and responsive to your inquiries. The rooms are a decent size and are always cleaned and well looked after.
Nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff is attentive to your needs. Easy access to the downtown core this place allows you to walk easily and access the waterfront. The deck restaurant is a good place to eat.
This is the second time I've stayed at the Coast High Country Inn, and have asked for a different room, only to be disappointed with the new room. This visit, the first room was ridiculously small, with an incredibly old shower. When we asked for a new room with a bathtub, they were great about it. However, the new room has two beds, each shoved up against a wall, which is not convenient when you're sharing a bed. There is no air conditioning, and even with the window open, it's hot in here. And our window overlooks the area that people go to smoke, so I lay in bed this morning, listening to them talk, smelling cigarettes. The bathroom is incredibly dated. I don't know where the rooms are that are in the pictures on their website, cause we're not getting them. I cannot fault the staff - they are great. I'm just disappointed with the rooms.
We have stayed here many times over the past 20 years. I’ve also posted previously. Just an update, this is our go to Inn for Whitehorse. Many nice accommodations here but this place always impresses us on all aspects. We need an accessibility room and the one we have here (234) is the best we’ve ever stayed in. Thanks. Price is great, staff as well. Food is ok.
Very welcome experience after a week on the road. Excellent desk staff, great bed and room, easy TV and wifi, and on-property restaurant if you don't want to leave in order to eat. The in-room coffee was a pleasurable bonus.
Great place to stay for the value. The rooms are always clean. Staff is always very engaging friendly and helpful. Such a relaxing atmosphere. All the amenities available for business or pleasure stay. The restaurant was delicious.
