We stayed at this chain of the Campanile as we were attending a Christening nearby. Have stayed here before and still really impressed by the overall cleanliness and service we experienced. The bedrooms were very comfy indeed... simple in design but had everything you needed. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice whether you fancied a full English or just continental. The only downside I would say was that I wanted a beer from the bar at just gone 10pm and was told that it was shut... seemed a little strange being a Hotel. Apart from that though, really enjoyed our overall stay here and would certainly recommend.
This was our second visit - the first time the hotel seemed to be in need of some serious TLC. However, this has now been done and the hotel is really lovely. The staff are great, the food is good, the bedrooms are clean and comfortable - all in all a very pleasant stay.
Came here with national holidays. Great section of well cooked food . Clean room. Quiet during the night . Friendly and hard-working staff. Only down side. Nowhere for a walk. Or to sit outside at the front .
Stayed at the Campanile for 4 nights with two friends in a triple room; the room was excellent and very spacious with lots of storage space for clothing, cases and other personal items. The beds were very comfy and were changed everyday by room service free of charge. The hotel itself was very quiet and all of the staff were welcoming and friendly. Inside of the hotel by reception, there is a small space where you can buy items such as shampoo, shower gel, food and drinks etc., which are all reasonably priced. Will be returning to the hotel next year for an annual festival as it is great accommodation at a great price.
The hotel is very clean. The food was excellent especially the breakfast. Not overcharged in the bar. Cant see how anyone could complain for what they paid. I would recommend to anyone for short stays.
I stayed here for one night with an organised coach trip, the room was bright and cheerful, the staff very helpful. the food would of been so much more enjoyable if the chef was not so heavy handed with the pepper, this was on everything, the meat, fish, vegetables and potatoes, also in the soup, in our opinion this spoilt a beautiful meal. the bathroom and toilet were clean, the shower was brilliant, beds clean and comfortable, such a shame we didnt sleep too well with the noise coming from our neighbours chatting, people along the corridors who obviously didnt read the respect for other people signs, we also had traffic noise that was surprising coming through double glazed windows, overall I would say our stay was pleasant, but only for the one night. Thanks Campanile.
We are staying at the hotel tonight and we had evening meal and it was very very good complainants to the chef and other staff are nice and Friendly and I've got a room on my own and it comfy and recommend this hotel and the rooms are clean and very nice
I stayed here for one night on an organised bus trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and welcoming, the room was very spacious and comfortable, it was clean and bright, with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and phone, which was useful for calling my son in the next room and parents in the adjacent room! One thing that I did like is that there was a door separating the main door from the sleeping area, this cut out the noise of people talking in the corridor at night. The food was delicious, and there was a good choice - we had an 3 course evening meal and breakfast. The staff were attentive and all of the food was fresh and appetising. The drinks weren't too expensive in the bar. Pets can stay for an additional £5. The hotel is on an industrial estate, not that this matters, but it means you can't have a walk to the shops! The only downside was that my room was facing the main entrance and twice I was woken by cars beeping their horns to get out of the car park! There were also people talking outside that kept waking me. I would recommend that you ask for a room at the rear of the building. Other than that, I would certainly stay here again!
Bathroom fan not working so mould on ceiling. Reception said nothing they could do. Room above seemed to be building an extension judging by noise. Walls paper thin. Paper cups on tea/coffee tray dangerous and unhygienic.
Booked this hotel on Saturday, we checked in and found insects in the bath room, the bedding was dirty from the night before, the towels was wet. Also went down to reception to ask for a glass of water to take medication the lady on reception called tony replied in a very rude manor 'the bars closed'. So we then headed to find the nearest 24 hour shop. Once we came back she would not open the barrier, when I went into repetition leaving my car parked outside the barrier she rudely replied it's open with the top of her voice. Put a complaint in but the manager has done nothing about it and just replied with a made up story from her staff member. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. BE AWARE GUYS
