Recently I was traveling from Australia and visited this hotel with a group of friends for an event near by. Disgusted does not come close, I felt revolted to the extent that my skin crawled and I couldn't sleep here spending the night safely in my car!, welcome to England!!! Leaking roofs in halls, tiles missing, mould, damp ceiling falling through, sticky carpets, to name but a few issues... Total filth! How can this hotel not be condemned by Health & Safety?, how can management charge for people to stay here is beyond me, nothing like shown on their website! Check out a few of the photos taken and please think twice about booking a stay here. When approached with my disgust staff referred me embarrassingly to management however management were rude, uninterested and not willing to refund for the room... What kind of managers does the hospitality industry employ here in England as in Australia these people wouldn't be employed to run dog kennels even! Absolutely disgusted and will be taking this further...
You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. Basic room and bathroom. Rooms are spacious. Car parking is free, jist need to enter reg number when checking in. Only bad thing would be that the lifts were out of order which meant having to use stairs to get to room but Would stay here again
Think you are getting value for money but the cleaners need telling what to do... All simple jobs that a bit of bleach can cure but won't be staying here next time!!! The lift hadn't been hovered either full of bits of rubbish too
Customers BEWARE - there is a parking scam happening here - you book in, register your car online and also on your registration card and then a couple of weeks later you get a fine from the parking company of £100. The hotel then proclaim no responsibility for this and you are then left to deal with a third party. So BEWARE!!!
my wife and i stayed overnight on 1st july as part of a coach party and found the hotel generally very good for the occasion the meals were very good and quite filling the breakfast was also very good and a good selection of items
Would just like to say I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in your hotel the staff are so helpful and friendly they are a credit to the hotel.Only stayed for one night but breakfast was tasty only downside was no fried eggs only scrambled which my husband doesn't like.Would certainly stay here again.
This hotel is exactly what you expect from this style of hotel. Friendly, efficent staff, clean rooms and a good sleep. The only down side. The breakfast was awful. I know its cheap but it should be edable
Had a fantastic 2 night stay, great service fantastic staff who were very polite, helpful and friendly. Conjoining rooms were great for families with young children. Would recommend this hotel to anyone 5 stars all round.
We arrived for a two night stay on Sunday afternoon. hotel very quiet, checked in quickly, room ok, clean and very efficient shower . Dinner, reasonable selection, £30 for 2. lack of atmosphere only 2 other couples. Tv sound restricted, with aircon running, TV inaudible. needs attention. Breakfast, good selection of cereals, full English welcome, staff attentive and friendly Monday hotel much more active . No pub within walking distance
This hotel has several good things going for it, but only stay if you have business in the industrial estate where it is located. It is in the middle of nowhere, and miles from any shops or restaurants. Also, when we arrived the area smelled like a sewerage farm. It was a weekend when we were there and there were very few staff around. The bartender had to find the receptionist, and later take our order for a meal. You have to prebook a table if you want to eat there, and pay cash at the bar; they can't put the cost on your bill. And talking about costs, I asked for some bread to go with a light meal I wanted in my room and I was charged one pound for one slice of bread. Outrageous. On the positive side, the room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. And in spite of the bread cost the rate per night and breakfast costs were very reasonable. Perhaps this was because it was a weekend and there were only two other guests staying. Confirms my opening comment about visitors having business with the industrial estate.
