Communication with the property manager isn’t great. It was hours past check in & he hadn’t sent any info regarding how to get into the home. We messaged a few times & finally called & got the code (something another review also said). When we got there, the front door was ajar & the back doors were unlocked. We travel with a small child so immediately we were alarmed & had to clear the house to make sure it was safe & secured. We noticed a lot of “wear and tear” as the host said- AKA, holes in the walls/doors, floors, broken sink drains, missing fan blades, & a barn door that was broken & then “fixed” with wood glue. We reported to the host so it was documented that it was not our doing. That night, we noticed the master shower was entirely missing a shower door. There was only one, making it uncomfortable to take a shower since it was entirely open & impossible to stay warm. We were planning on ignoring all of this, we travel often for events & work & don’t spend much time at the VRBOs that we rent. But Saturday night the barn door fell apart by something closing it. It’s a standard barn door, two of them come together to close in one of the bedrooms. One of the adults staying with us shut the door & the rest of the door separated from the right vertical beam that it was poorly glued to. Our daughter was playing ping pong and it nearly fell on her. We reported it to the manager and he didn’t respond for hours them said “sorry about the inconvenience”.
