Stayed Friday and Saturday night and I wouldn't say anywhere else. New hotels are popping up next door but this one has it all. Great play area to chill out...great pool and hot tub. The free breakfast was the best as they had everything...nice bar and restaurant if you need. The rooms are big as they hotel is from the 70's and they had lots of open space. Did I also say Pet friendly...the front desk ladies were sweet as apple pie and always saying hello when you left and arrived. Rooms were clean and showers were hot. Note: ski hill is two blocks away and they have a shuttle service if you need it. I love going to a place that hasn't changed much in the 15yrs I've been going there. Great job!
I've never seen a property get such odd negative reviews in August and my stay in Jan was actually pretty nice.? This is an older very large property. My room was on the second floor at entrance 3. No elevator so if that's an issue ask for first floor. I had a large, clean, very quiet, well equipped, comfortable room. Everything seemed pretty new. Friendly staff, took into account that I was a day sleeper and assigned me to a quiet spot away from traffic noise. 💤. Property seems to offer many amenities such as an indoor pool/rec area, breakfast etc but I didn't get a chance to enjoy any of them. This would be a great place for a winter break with the kids, pool area looked very nice. Plenty of parking for an RV, tractor trailer or camper. Conveniently located. Unless there are parts of this property that need work (which may explain some of the neg reviews), I don't think you will be disappointed staying here.
We stayed here again after a year, and I must say they are most improved. To start our weekend, the staff at the front desk were great! Happy, friendly, and helpful. We needed a few things and they were right there to provide. Then the rooms, it's obvious they have been updated, all of the bed linens and towels looked new and fresh. The rooms were also very clean and quiet. It was a full house but the breakfast group was doing a pretty good job keeping things stocked for us. The housekeeping staff was also friendly and helpful. From Renae, Christy, Mark at the front, the housekeeping staff (didn't catch their names) and Dan in the bar, we had a very enjoyable stay. Bravo!
The hotel is older but was clean and neat. Room with king size bed was roomy and included a nice recliner, flat screen TV and work area. Bathroom was clean, a little dated but ok. They have a bar with pool table, darts and video games. Food at the bar was good, we ate there 3 nights. They have an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, seating area with air hockey, pool table. It is across the street from the ski area and close to other restaurants. All in all a good place to stay in the area.
This property is older but nicely maintained. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Pool area is awesome! Minutes away from Granite Peak and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. I only have 2 complaints - breakfast was fine but they ran out of items and it took a long time to be replenished, also not much seating area. All of the staff were very pleasant EXCEPT the young man that waited on us in the dining room. He was one of the rudest waiters I have ever had. We only ordered 2 burgers so we were not much work and there was no one else seated at the time in the dining room!
Our stay was wonderful. Dave at registration was so accommodating and went above and beyond. Dan in the lounge was also wonderful and went above and beyond. The pool area is wonderful and the gaming together are great. I stayed there years ago when it was Best Western and your beds are so comfy.
I have stayed at this hotel 4-7 nights every month for the last few years and I can really see a position be improvement in all aspects of the hotel! Great prices in the bar and food was excellent (I had the fish and shrimp last night) will be back again for sure.
Last minute stay. Kids really liked the pool area - nice dome provided great light. The layout of 2 levels of rooms surrounding the pool is not my taste but it works. The room was HUGE and the air/heat/fan worked like a charm. Drawback is no elevator. I don't know if the "wing" the front desk referred to is 2 levels or if it has an elevator. Full breakfast was a good start to the last leg of our journey. I would stay again.
We stayed over the weekend, and got a huge room. The hotel has a stupper club on premise. I think this is a plus for traveler's. The hotel use to be a Midway Motor Lodge if you are familiar with that group. It has a solareally pool that is good size and always warm in the winter. There starting to do a major remodel, which it does need. Otherwise a good place to stay.
The staff was not very friendly and welcoming, the houskeeping ladies were super rude and did not want to clean our room for 3 days straight. Their excuse was that they thought i said i did not want them to clean the room. that was not true at all. So very disappointed.
