You can not find a better location downtown DC. Everything is within walking distance.

There was NO heat nor HOT WATER in our room. We reported that to the front desk an hour after checking in. Three hours later after dining out, we checked the front desk again. They indicated that the boilers in the building were turned off. The room temperature ranged from 46 degrees near the window to the upper 50's after running 2 blow dryers for 45 minutes in the room. We slept in our clothes with the bedding from both beds placed on our double bed. We then slept with our winter coats on top of the bedding. We left without showering in the morning as the water was ice cold. We showered at home upon our return. This was sad.

The location is good

The stay overall was good. A few things could be improved: there was a bucked for ice, but we couldn't find the ice machine; also there wasn't any information about the hotel rules and amenities inside of the room.

Historical stuff inside.

The location was great for getting to the metro and accessing the National Mall area. The hotel is a bit dated and had a foul smell in the lobby and elevator, but the room was in fine condition. We were not able to access the wifi, but we didn’t inform staff as we were there for only 1 night. We would choose to stay here again for the great price and location

Went with my daughter for spring break. Location was perfect for being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Room was small but clean and tidy. Restaurant on site was convenient.

Lesson learned here. I tend to get hotels that are on the cheaper side when I know I won’t be in them much. I went in to this expecting a clean, comfortable, quiet room. I knew it was outdated from the pictures. We stayed here 2 nights & there was many problems. 1st, the heat was out of control. We used the dial on the wall & turned it completely to 0 & it was still so hot my kids undressed down to underwear to make it bearable. The staff said they were turning the heat off at night, so basically the whole hotel is on one temperature. 2nd, we were placed in room 122 which was directly above the bar. It was ridiculously loud at night. The music was so loud that the entire room vibrated. Finally at 2:30 AM it stopped. 3rd, our window on the right hand side did not shut all the way, there was a huge gaping crack that air freely flowed thru. Which brings me to 4. The hotel room itself was tidied up in the most minimal of ways. Their was hair literally attached from the bed to the floor & every corner was nasty. The entrance to the room had a small hallway with a closet. NO lighting at all in this area. I put our suitcases in the closet. When we got home a cockroach crawled directly out of my husbands suitcase across the floor. I then went to shake out the rest & found a cockroach in mine & 1 in my kids. Save yourself the headache & stay somewhere else!

Attentive staff, proximity to the Mall, location of restaurants and shops nearby, good value for the cost. Older property, not perfect but good enough.

Bathroom was small, no coffee maker in room. Loud at times from outdoors. Good location for seeing things around Dc.

This is a zero frills hotel (bring your own shampoo) that is in desperate need of a makeover. Carpet throughly needs to be replaced and walls in need of a fresh coat of paint with artwork displayed. Room was very small as was bathroom. Our beds were comfortable and clean. Location and price are the reasons to say, but If you can afford to do so, I would stay elsewhere

We traveled to DC with 5 middle schoolers and 3 adults. Hotel Harrington was a perfect location and great deal! Staff was friendly, but rooms and building were very dated. We were able to walk everywhere- 10min to the mall and 5 min to the metro.

Love these old Hotels!

Staff are very friendly

I live it

Most economical place to stay right downtown, walkable to everywhere.

Loved that it was close to the National Mall & what we wanted to see. Building was clearly old, but it was a good value (i.e., we got what we paid for). Was not impressed with the food at Harry's, but again, knew what we were getting into.

Clean, friendly staff and convenient restaurant with great food.

Came to DC for a concert and needed to find a Hotel close to my music venue. The hotel is older but charming. My king room was large, very clean and the best was so so comfortable. The location in incredible! Normally I don’t stay at hotels this dated anymore but this hotels positives outweighed any negatives. Would book again.

Old and showing its wear, but terrific downtown location with low price that more than compensates for any lack of modern amenities.
