The house consists of 2 units. The main house is the larger part of the home across 2 levels. The main floor has a large living area, dining room, kitchen, sunroom and walk out to back patio that is connected to the lower level apartment. You can access the apartment from under the front porch or from the back patio area. The lower level apartment is a 1 bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, bathroom and small bedroom with a queen size bed.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washer/dryer, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker. Housekeeping is available on request.

We stayed at this location for several days over Thanksgiving. Communication was fast, the location is perfect (2 blocks from the metro, and a Target, as well as several restaurants). Our group included 6 people, myself, my husband, our 2 teen/adult children, and my parents. There was enough room for us to have our own space. Would stay here again!

Expansive property for a big group

This place was perfect for my group of colleagues traveling for a conference. With the 4 queen bedrooms and 1 walk-through futon, there was plenty of room for everyone. This property was perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. Just 2 blocks from the Green line, we didn’t need a car, and the walking was safe. Washington DC sightseeing trip.

We were five women celebrating a mile stone birthday who came to explore Washington DC. The home was very close to the metro station that took us everywhere we wanted to go. Beautiful, spacious property. Walked 2 blocks to the train station for an easy trip into Smithsonians, The Mall, D.C. Easy drive to zoo, Georgetown, Arlington Cemetery......great location. Beautiful home in great DC neighborhood

We had a fabulous stay at Colin's place. It has everything you need and more! My family of food and coffee lovers were very pleased with the setup in the kitchen. I've stayed in many, many vacation rentals and this is the first one with a KitchenAid mixer and Cuisinart food processor. Also, the art and antiques in the townhome are lovely. The neighborhood has several good restaurants within walking distance. We had a car, but never had a problem finding parking on the same block as the house. This is a great place to stay and we'd definitely stay here again.

Perfect Vacation Home

This is a beautiful and spacious home. It is located within walking distance to a Metro Train Station and Metro bus stops. From the station, it is only a 15 minute ride to The Mall, as well as many museums and monuments. From Regan Airport, the home is a twenty minute ride on the subway and a ten minute walk. The owner of this vacation rental has provided generous and lovely amenities. He promptly responded to our questions and concerns. If you have plans to visit Washington DC and need a spacious home, I highly recommend this property I Columbia Heights.

Amazing house in DC

Hands down the best place I've stayed through VRBO! The location was exactly what we needed for easy access to DC and very close to Catholic, Howard, and American Universities. Great neighborhood and a quiet Brownstone house. The rooms were great and the basement apartment was an added bonus that suited our family perfectly! Colin was easy to reach and the process of renting with him through VRBO was seamless. The kitchen was easy to cook in for our whole family. 2 parking passes for vehicles, although you are dealing with DC parking, so be patient. We were always very close to the house. I wouldn't change a thing and look forward to coming back!

A Good Time!

This house was very impressive! The house provided enough space for my family to eat, talk, and play the four days we had together. The location of this home is in a great spot and around fun places. The owner(Colin) was very nice and attentive to me and my family. We learned some history behind the house which made our stay even more memorable. There was parking available but the moving of the cars for the two weekday's included in our stay was a little annoying. But I would not have picked a better home going this route. Thank You Colin, for opening your home to me and my family celebrating our 10th year Liz Kidz family reunion!
