Excellent location only a few minutes walk into Stratford Nice hotel our Executive room was very clean and provided everything we needed but looked a little tired in places especially in bathroom . This did not spoil our stay Would be happy to return again
Staff was very nice and helpful. WiFi was very slow and most of the time couldn’t get the signal. There was no elevator. We carried our luggages to the second floor through a narrow staircase. Room was dated and tired but the price was reasonable. The location was great, 10minutes walk to town center. The breakfast buffet was excellent, I really enjoyed it. Overall, it was nice experience.
Hotel is adequate very close to town . Clean enough. staff not very freindly. Room a bit dated .fire alarm went off a few times in the morning no one told us it was a false alarm or apologise for inconvenience they just didnt say anything which we thought was a bit unprofessional
Visited this hotel for a weekend brake and found the staff very nice from the moment you go in front desk are very nice we went on a bed and breakfast deal .Are room was nice and clean fased the main road that was very busy but with the window closed couldnt hear any noise from the traffic, had a good sleep in a comftable bed. Breakfast was good and kept warm staff where nice and helpfull. The only problem with the hotel is the parking it tends to be full but managed to park on the whole a nice stay
Lovely hotel in a great position just two minutes from Town Centre. Very experienced polite staff, good rooms which I am sure must have recently been refurbished together with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, and on-site parking an added bonus. We would definitely like to return to the Grosvenor in the near future.
As a birthday treat my husband bought me an activity voucher for afternoon tea which cost him £39. We were very disappointed, sandwiches were nice however they were unable to offer plain scones only fruit and both cakes were fruit which I don’t like. The scones were warm and nice however I had to pull mine apart to try and remove the fruit and the small cakes were very dry. I have been for afternoon tea a few times at different places and felt this was the most poorest of selections and compared to some of the other picture on here feel we were not given our money’s worth!
First impressions were really favourable. The foyer and bars looked great. We were given a room on the first floor. No lift. OK if you're able bodied but disabled people or those with mobility issues struggled. The stairs and corridors were like labyrinths and having reached our room at the very end of the corridor tucked away in a recess, discovered that we were in some sort of annex which faced a very busy main road. The noise was incessant. As we were there for one night only it wasn't a real issue but any more would have caused a problem. Returning to the hotel after a lovely day out in Stratford we decided to go to the bar for a night cap at 22:45. We were only allowed one drink. What!! They closed at eleven'o'clock, on the dot, no last orders shouted, just pulled the shutters down and turned off all the lights and left everyone in the dark. Is this what the hospitality industry has come to?
Attended a wedding at this hotel. Lovely setting and food was delicious. Sadly the bar does not sell crisps or nuts and when faced with a few hours between the day and evening party guests were considering going in to town in search of snacks! The evening reception was held downstairs. There was no lift, just stairs and having to use crutches this was difficult. The toilets were upstairs making that a long and difficult journey! Ruined a lovely day.
Stayed in Stratford with a group of friends and chose the Grosvenor as it had parking and close to the town centre! Room was pricey but clean and comfortable whilst being more than a little faded (especially the bathroom). Good breakfast went some way towards justifying the money spent
Firstly we found the bar staff very awkward and not very polite. On Sunday evening when we went to the bar at 10:25pm we got "You can only have one drink and make it quick" The bath in our room,162,was very decaying around the taps and worsted of all no bath mat so was very slippery and dangerous when having a shower. The bed was very comfy though with a nice Breakfast
