Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent facilities kitchen, dinning and lounge areas for cooking and relaxing. Shared bathrooms very clean and never a problem. Hot tub a must.

Very nice location for walking around town and doing nearby hikes. The communal kitchen had everything a travelling person could need and the outside and inside areas were welcoming. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, we were unable to fully utilize the facilities because we checked in after dinner and checked out before breakfast. The staff carefully explained how to use the facilities when we checked in, and they seemed very convenient. Each room had a refrigerator and pantry space, which seemed very comfortable. The shower rooms and toilets were clean, and the shared spaces were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful lodge/hostel. Everything you need. Property owner is very friendly and gave a wonderful tour upon arrival. Only drawback is that it is a bit out of the downtown area (~2km)... still walkable and a pleasant walk at that... but just a note for those who may have mobility issues and no vehicle. Totally recommend!

As a solo traveller, I thought this was a really good option for a place in Wanaka, one that afforded private rooms but large, tidy and well appointed common spaces. I'd stay here again.

Amazing experience at Altamont Lodge. Jeff is a very friendly and helpful host, and check in was very smooth and immediately made us feel home. The facilities offered cover everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge. Highly recommended!

Warm welcome from Altamont Lodge, rooms spotless and plenty of facilities available eg parking, large kitchen and washing machines. Room tip: if possible, avoid room 1, its a bit close to the double doors and bathroom making it a bit noisy but that depends on the other guests! E
