This vacation was wonderful, and the cherry on top was this wonderful home!!! We have standard poodles that are trained therapy dogs and they travel with us. This was a wonderful place for them also. Large fenced yards and secure gates. The house is BEAUTIFULLY decorated, and the land is awesome. I can’t say enough good things about this stay. It rained our last day there, but the restful day was just fine. Close enough to Bastrop that we went there to eat and shop some. Beautiful town! We highly recommend this location!

Our getaway to this incredible cabin was nothing short of amazing! What a beautiful, peaceful and adventurous time we had together. Getting to see the horses and cattle graze each evening was an unexpected delight! Highly recommend renting the mule - we got to see so many beautiful animals on the property. The cabin had everything we needed and made our stay comfortable. The pool was certainly a highlight and was awesome for cooling down, especially since we went in July. Check-in was super easy and the host was so accommodating. We'd love to return to this gem!

Wonderful time had by all ....

Everything was wonderful for all in our party. We enjoyed the side by side, going to catch a sunset, the swimming pool, and the abundance of animals we got to watch come and go. It was exactly what we needed and even the furbabies loved the stay! Thank you for everything ❤️

Charming Family Escapade

We loved our stay. The setting is beautiful, with a wide variety of wild life, starry skies and tranquility. The cabin is lovely and you will find anything you need for a vacation in the country side (if you like cooking just bring some essentials, like olive oil and such). Communication with owners and property's care team is fantastic. Close to Gruene and New Braunfels for an evening out. We would love to stay here again!

A nice escape cabin with for time to relax

We stayed with family friends for the weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend using the mule to drive around the property to see all the wildlife. We saw plenty of deer. The space itself had plenty of room. There is an air mattress available, but if you have more than 6, it’s a good idea to bring another air mattress. It’s far from any convenience stores or grocery stores (which is how we wanted it), but come with everything that you will need in advance.

Quiet country Experience

We had a terrific stay. The property is quiet and secluded. We enjoyed the peace and quiet along with the pool. Our grandkids and their Dad enjoyed fishing in the catfish pond. The listing misstates the number of beds. There is not a toaster. We made due-we enjoyed the trip.

Beautiful secluded setting with so many fun animals. Please rent the mule! It’s so much fun! I was so appreciative of how quickly the owner responded. Very reassuring. Take the family and rent the entire ranch. You will not be sorry.

Country relaxing

Property was very clean. The mule rentals at first seemed little expensive but over the 2 nights we stayed the kids had a blast riding around the property on them and seeing all the different types of animals, so definitely worth it. Wouldn’t even been the same without them. Plenty of accessories to use inside the house, very good sized rooms and comfortable beds. We’re already making plans to go back again before school starts back up. Definitely recommend. Very peaceful and quiet and relaxing and owner very communicative and polite

Directions to the location were spot on... just wish we had known that the closest Convenient Store was 15 miles away and Grocery store 25 miles to where we could have stopped before arriving and pick up items that were needed. The hot tub did not work and looked as if it had not been used in some time so that was somewhat disappointing, but over all the stay was just what were were looking for -

Beautiful view

Cabin was very clean, the view was phenomenal and it was nice feeling off the grid. We fished a ton every day with lots of luck. Wide variety of exotic animals to watch throughout the property. Would be very fun to visit during summer to take advantage of the pool. The listing on VRBO can be slightly confusing. There is a room that list two queen beds which only has one and upstairs living room that lists king is an air mattress. These beds we were using for kids, so we were able to make it work. Regardless of confusion on our part, would definitely go back!

Peaceful retreat in the country

We enjoyed our stay. Property was nicely appointed. Kitchen could use more cutting boards. And glad we brought our own knives. This almost accommodates 8, but really it’s comfortable for six. We fit only because our kids are small, and we brought a blowup twin bed. Mule was so much fun!! The kids loved the hot tub and pool. Great fenced yard! Please check your lights. The few bulbs that actually worked, were very dim. The stairwell light didn’t work. So dangerous! Electricity went off twice, but came back on pretty quickly

Labor Day Getaway

Labor Day Vacation- Great stay - pool was perfect size for the hot Texas days!..Love how the house is decorated just like a country lodge, perfect for 6 people. Highly recommend getting the ATV! The deer are beyond words!! Caught catfish in pond!…nothing better than eating catfish an hour after catching!!. Only drawback is no Internet, TV was not set up & no TV upstairs. A smart TV & no internet??. Very relaxing watching antelope every morning on porch while drinking coffee. There is some gravel roads to get there, but soo peaceful once at the ranch. The groundskeeper showed us right catfish pond to fish in. All in all…a great trip. Can only imagine how Spring looks there. Back way quicker if internet there!
