Komfortabel middelalderstemning

B&B La Laterna er et hyggeligt lille sted, drevet af det venlige unge par Lavinia og Francesco. Huset er fra 1200-tallet, men på ingen måde nedslidt. Tværtimod er det sat rigtig fint istand indvendigt, uden dog at have mistet sin rustikke karakter. La Laterna ligger i en lille smal gade, hvor husene udelukkende er fra middelalderen. Det meste af Viterbo har samme middelalderlige præg med det gamle pavepalads som det dominerende element. Paladset ligger mindre end fem minutters gang fra La Laterna. Morgenmaden var glimrende, og man kan frit benytte stedets køkken og tage frit for sig af alle de produkter, som står fremme. Disse inkluderede frugt, kiks, kager, brød, honning og marmelader samt te og kaffe. Alt i alt var mit ophold på La Laterna glimrende, selvom Viterbo i sig selv er lidt kedelig.
