The place is disgusting from the ceiling to the floor. The common areas as well as the rooms are so filthy. There was hair and grime in the bathroom and mud on the wall. They floors were dirty and hadn’t been swept or mopped at all. And everything smelled moldy and musty.

Looks nothing like the images shown on Expedia. Hallway carpets are stained and nasty looking. Room was mediocre at best on cleaning, with the furniture and windows being dirty. Shower was not great and did not appear very clean. Furniture was damaged cosmetically and handles missing, etc. faint smell of cigarette smoke throughout hotel and room. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but selected this place based on the photos shown. The decor, flooring, layout, and overall appearance DOES NOT match at all. Clearly they used images from another hotel for this one.

Will never stay at a La Quinta again. Made my reservation for a King sized bed. I arrived and had a twin. My estimated arrival time was 830 but due to traffic I arrived at 1030. Was told they "overbooked". 50+ years of booking hotels and I've never been given a room that I had not booked!. Not a good look La Quinta!. I'll be sure to let everyone I know know about their little scam!

The room had dead beatles and bugs in it, bathroom was dirty and the floor was coming up. It smelt of mold and there were hairs on the walls. The floors were gross, and the furniture was coming a part. I would not recommend and will not stay there again.

The Hotel was by far the worst hotel I have ever been at. All three floors reeked of wet dog. The elevator seemed like it was going to snap and fall. Staff was ridiculously unpleasant at best. Wouldn't recommend.

Virginia Beach La Quinta

I know this site is going through a renovation but these are things that have nothing to do with that. There were no open outlet near the bed. I had to unplug the clock to plug stuff in. The only open plug was on the other side of the room by the TV. I went to use the microwave and found it unplugged because the light and the fridge was plugged in. That is when i noticed that not only the microwave wasn’t plugged in but also the coffee maker. There were no USB connections in the room either. There was one small trash can in the room and not in the bath. In the dining area the hot water dispenser for tea was just about inoperable. It needs fixed. They kept the butter in a fridge set at 32 degrees which froze it, making it usually unusable as it wouldn’t melt.

We had cockroaches in our room. We informed management and they moved us to another room and offered a $30 discount. We switched rooms and eventually started seeing them again. We informed management again. They tried to offer another room. We told them no we left and booked a new hotel. Management was unconcerned about the cockroaches stating that it was that time of season, and we have pets coming in and out of the hotel. If im not mistaken there is no season for cockroaches, they are year round. Also a lot of hotels allow pets in so that not an excuse either. We had to shake our clothes off outside to make sure no bugs tried to hitch a ride. I will never book with this hotel again or any hotels like it.
