Perfect location close to many bars in a charming street. The downstairs of the hotel is Ok but I was very disappointed with the room. It was small and old fashioned. The bathroom was also very old, the shower door didn´t close properly and the water was going in all directions in the shower head. The view was to an internal courtyard. Heating could not be controlled so it was a bit cold at times. Very clean though. Breakfast was in a very nice cellar room but the variety was not great. I would not recommend this hotel unless you got a very good deal. Average 3* definetely not a 4*.
Feel confused by all the good reviews we were not impressed at all. Bad points: Service poor the waiters/waitresses even the receptionist ignorant, inattentive and miserable. Tables at breakfast left dirty and nobody to represent the hotel around to speak to. The whole place has an odd vibe just not inviting at all. I would give the food at breakfast 5/10 The Room the was old fashioned including the bathroom and the shower not very good sprayed out in all directions Room cold at times the heater was self managed at one point but has been altered to be centrally controlled i'm guessing as the switches have been removed, this is ok if its done right and heating when it's -3 would be nice. Tv only has 2 English channels which are news channels, not great satellite really. Good points: Location is good quite a walk from the cathedral square though so take comfortable shoes. Amazing to be so close to the gate of dawn, must visit! Lots of nice restaurants and cafes near by try Little Mavis across the road for excellent friendly service and real English breakfast Or pancake place next door (Gusto) fab prices. Room very clean and beds comfortable. I would not stay at Europa Royale again although we got a bargain really so I guess we got what we paid for.
Definitely convenient clean and nice! Great for walking about Vilnius and close to nice bars and restaurants! Staff friendly and breakfast was good in a nice looking restaurant. For the price, nothing to grumble about at all!
Really great location right in the centre of the old town, walk-able to everywhere. A lovely wine bar opposite (in vino) and jazz bar a few doors up. Staff were very friendly, I emailed before hand to ask for a room with a balcony (as some of the rooms have them) they emailed me back straight away confirming they would allocate one for me (I can highly recommend our room 408) Picture attached- wonderful view from our balcony over looking the old town. Only had breakfast one of the days in the hotel, but good selection and a lovely breakfast room. Only issue with the hotel was the shower was a little weak but this wasn't a major hassle. Would definitely stay again.
I had expected the same standard as Europa Royale, Bucharest but this hotel is one rank below it. The room was nicely decorated but old and small. The bathroom was functional but looked pretty dated. The room I was staying was facing the hotel's backside without view. The breakfast was good. Given the hotel's price, I probably stay at somewhere else next time.
The hotel is very good and very well located in the old town. Staff is very helpful! Breakfast is also good! Rooms are clean and quiet, with very good internal space. I would stay there again if I go to Vilnius again.
Just spent a 4 night stay at this hotel. Great location, good authentic Lituanian food. Friendly helpful staff who spoke English. On the 2nd- 4th nights the hotel was swarmed with Japanese tourists that descended on the hotel like locusts. There is a delicious breakfast buffet that begins at 7 am. Like clockwork the locusts descend on the dining room, rudely devouring everything in sight. When the bufett is finally decimated they dissapear to large tour busses leaving the small staff overwhelmed who are left scurrying to clean up and replentish the bufett for other guests.
We had a four-night stay, and this hotel is a great base for exploring Vilnius. Located in the Old Town, most of the city's attractions were within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The only downside was the under-powered shower which was loose; and the hair dryer, which stopped working.
The room were ordinary but this old heritage style hotel was the the heart of old town and some lovely restaurants and above all right near The Gates of Dawn.. short walk to railway or bus station too. The breakfast area was the most charming part of the hotel... the spread was just right and food was amazing. They do not have a hot kettle in the room but obliged us with 1 upon request. Hotel reception staff was very courteous and helpful too. Certainly recommend this hotel.
Perfect location for sightseeing, few steps away from the famous Aušros Vartai, the staff is very polite, rooms have a historical vibe, overall atmosphere is lovely. The breakfast is also really good. The rooms are quiet small, but still cosy, very clean.
