We had an excellent stay at Citadenes. We were 4 people with 2 teens, usually hotels provide one room, but here we had two rooms attached which was so convenient and comfortable. Plenty of food options around. There is a mega mall right in front with lots of shopping and food options. Staff was very friendly, and coffee in the lobby was great.

I enjoyed my stay. Met the basic needs. Gym was basic, but fine for a couple of days, breakfast was good enough, staff was very helpful. Hotel can be a bit hard to find. You have to go up the escalator. It is 15-20 minutes from the city center, but that is why it is much less expensive. Great that the metro is right outside. Nice that it is kind of like an apartment and has a small kitchen. I would stay again.

Comfortable location few steps away from the metro station, short ride to the city centre. Clean, comfortable rooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Fantastic wheelchair accessible rooms, spacious bathroom with roll-in shower. Nice top floor bar/breakfast area and roof top terrace however no wheelchair access to the roof top terrace. Reliable airport taxi service bookable via the reception.

The staff's conduct needs immediate improvement

While the location of this hotel is fantastic—with a supermarket downstairs and the metro across the street—and the rooms are comfortable with great beds, our experience was let down by significant service issues. The front desk staff (2 ladies) were highly unprofessional during check-in. They were loudly gossiping and making fun of another guest, which was uncomfortable to witness. This behavior also caused a long delay, as they ignored us to continue their conversation while asking for our documents. A heads-up: the hotel conducted a surprise emergency alarm test with no prior warning. It would be easy to provide a notice to prevent guests from being startled and to understand what to do, specially for those who don't speak German.

Nice, but stinky smell.

The room was very nice and modern, and the bed was comfortable. The only downside was the awful smell in the bathroom, which I suspect was coming from the shower drain. It improved slightly after a couple of showers, but it still needs to be checked and thoroughly cleaned.

The hotel is located right across a big mall, so yes, a lot of shopping opportunity. The hotel is also on the subway line that takes you into downtown within 10 minutes.
