Summary: I highly reccomend this hotel, and advice you to consider it. read NOTE below for a couple of tips! Clean and comfortable hotel with most needed ameneties just 10 mins taxi drive from city center. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and with the fact being that Zimbabwe is neither Europe or the US, I'll say that both price/value and quality/service more than met my demands and expectations. Rooms are well equipt as are the garden, pool and other areas. Beds are very nice, a small fridge makes it possible to have beverages in the room. A nice bar with lounge furniture and the lounge next to the breakfast area makes this a nice place to be. Staff are serviceminded and provide help, but be aware of things taking their time. Eg preparing the ordered lunch, breakfast. Food is good here, and prepared to order. We had lunch and dinner @ the hotel a couple of times, and food was good. Notice that due to low season or lack of supply, you might not be able to get all the things on menu. Free bus shuttle to city center and back a couple of times a day works perpect. See note for enhanced flexibility by booking local taxi. NOTE!. 1. Expect power cuts every day during your stay. Staff often knows when power is off in hotel area. Hotel has generator, but fuel is scarce, so get up early and use your wifi + power and get your shower before 9 AM to be sure. No power also means no water supply. Drinking water in bottles is provided for free. 2. Book your designated local taxi driver during your stay to have the most fleksibility to go to and from airport, from hotel to city and back, and for local tours. Negotiate rates from start. With your own driver, you safe time, have a reliable service and fixed prices always. I highly recommend that you contact mr Nhlalo Tshana on +263 77 627 5455 and book him as your designated taxi during your stay. He is very professionel, reliable and extremely flexible. He uses What's app and will be stand by for you if you make a deal with him.
I’ll start with the good points first. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean but very small. At lunch the veggie burger was great and we had enough to eat with both of us sharing, really tasty. The bad, sorry but there is a lot. We were meant to be staying in town unfortunately our travel provider changed us to this one. There is no shuttle to town a taxi to town is $5 per person taxi no more than a few minutes. No electricity for a good amount of time which means your sat in darkness with WiFi , no lights and a trickling shower. There is no where to get cash out at the hotel so that can be a problem. We sat and ate breakfast in the dark. Holes in the towels how can this have 5* above its doors?
Very poor services. No Hot water in hotel, no shuttle available, slow check out. The Food in Restaurant was ok and that is all what is positive here to say. At least 25 minutes out of town. They charged me 90$ for the room without hot water.
This was my second stay at Deluxe Suites and I have to say it is my favourite in Zimbabwe! My boyfriend and I stayed here previous in September 2018 and when we arrived back in April. The staff were as welcoming as always. Some staff even remembered us which was lovely and made us feel at ease being somewhere which welcomed you back. They always had a smile on their face and always willing to carry bags for us! The receptionist was able to give us the same room we had last time so we were comfortable with our surroundings. The room was immaculate as always, very high cleaning standards which I have always been impressed with!! Such spacious rooms as well, which are well furnished and comfortable! Like seriously, the pillows were great! The pool is very private and extremely relaxing to be at. There is also areas to sunbathe by pool if you wish to do so. Absolutely enjoyed every minute of my stay here and highly recommend everyone to book here. Compared to other accommodation in Vic Falls, it is reasonable price for the luxury room and great breakfast service (yes I got breakfast in bed everyday!). They also provide dinner service, a minibar, laundry and press service. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Hopefully be back in September 2019 to see you all again :)
Most beautiful rooms I've ever seen. Very comfortable big rooms with beautiful furniture and awnings. Very Spacious modern bathrooms and dressing areas too. But there's room to improve the restaurant services and food quality and meal options. Generally wasn't impressed with the dinning experience.
Recommend!!!! Absolutely loved it. The room was immaculate and so clean! The surrounding gardens are beautiful and the pool area is nice and closed. The staff were so lovely and always done their best to provide the best qualoty of care. Only downfall is you have to taxi back to room at night as it is a bit far from town.
Although the hotel is 10 minutes from town it was not a problem as they have a shuttle twice a day or one could get a taxi for $5. The accommodation is spacious and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. There are just 14 suites and we were upgraded to a wonderful suite with a huge bathroom and terrace. Free cooked brl must be theeakfast is adequate but my one reservation is lunch and dinner which is expensive by Vic Falls standards and not of a good quality. Having said that it is no problem to go into town and have a choice of places to eat at half the price. This hotel must be the best value in Victoria Falls, We would highly recommend the Victoria Falls deluxe Suites for a quiet and safe stay
I stayed at Victoria Falls de Luxe Suites for three nights. the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The rates at the hotel are competitive compared to the other places in Vic Falls. The only issue you can not take a walk at night because of wild animals around the location. It in quite location where there is no noise from the helicopters flying every minute in Vic Falls
Great value for our dollars!! My friends and I went on a 1 month expedition in Africa and decided to spend 4 days in Victoria Falls and let me tell you that other than the lion safari and watching hippos and rhinos, staying at the Deluxe Inn was the best experience of the trip. The hotel is a villa style accommodation. Each suite offers more than enough room for 2 or more people. You can easily fit 4 people in every suite if the suites had a stove or hot plate they could very easily be a nice little flat for a couple. The service was incredible with the staff always going above and beyond to serve you and make your stay more enjoyable. They probably have about 50 rooms which makes the service so personalized, we got a few tickets for tours and dinner shows through the front desk in less than 24hrs. Restaurant hours cover breakfast, lunch and dinner hours outside these hours the staff is on call and you have to go to the front desk to request service. Chef is magnificient and made customized dishes for us twice because we are a hungry bunch and we were eating a lot outside those hours. When we were there, the hotel was not too busy so we had the pool to ourselves with the staff bringing snacks and drinks every 20min (as per our request). It was honestly a great experience. The only thing was that the hotel is not downtown Victoria Falls and although you can walk it, the streets are not paved so most of the times we called our friend Gideon +263 77 361 8709 , you can get him on whatsapp and he will take you to the best places and be your guardian angel during your stay. He is super professional, knowledgeable of the area, punctual and reliable. The ride from Deluxe Inn to downtown is about 5min. So if being in the heart of town is not one of your must haves then Deluxe Inn is your best choice while visiting Victoria Falls. It is also a great place for a big family vacation since the villa set up makes it feel like home and you can book the guest house if you all want to stay in the same building. Excellent choice!!
We were a little shocked coming to Vic Falls after South Africa as everything is so expensive in comparison. A toasted sandwich cost 10USD at this hotel! The pumpkin soup entre was delicious! The rooms were spacious with great aircon. Large bed. A safe in the room. Fairly good wifi. Large bathroom with good rain head shower. The pool area isn’t anything special. No furniture to lounge around on and read a book. I think this could easily be improved and make it a nice place to relax. The thing that made it feel odd is that we never saw any other guests. It was like a ghost town other than the staff in the kitchen. Staff were polite. The location is a little out of the way. It’s a 10USD taxi in and out of the town. I guess it’s not much considering the kingdom hotel is more than double the cost per night. Not good to walk anywhere due to the elephants. Plus being 5 mins out of town means you dont have the constant drone of helicopters. Easy enough :)
