They over charged me for room by 12 dollars and then the microwave in room caught a fire and room had no heater
dirty, run down, cable didn't work and the lamps were broken
Basic motel. Room was clean and odor free. No major problems with furnishings. Not a lot of water pressure, but that's probably more from the city's infrastructure than the motel. Price was reasonable. I did not try to connect to the wifi, so I can't offer an opinion there. The motel has a couple parking decks in addition to 8 or 10 spaces in front, so parking at the motel is not a problem. This is, however, Vicksburg MS and it would be prudent to not leave valuables visible in your vehicle, but that's the case anywhere you stay in the city. The proprietors were at the desk within seconds of ringing the bell and they were polite, helpful and expedient. They do not have a continental breakfast, if that is important to you. All in all, it served its purpose well and I'd stay there again. Hope this helps.
I was afraid of the place. All the hotels I stayed at, this was the worst. I was afraid to take my clothes off and sleep in the bed. The lights didn't work, something kept biting me in the bed. The toilet didn't want to flush. The inside of the tub was dirty. The shower curtain had mildew on the bottom of it. I really didn't like that place.
This hotel isn't going 5-star anytime soon, but the mattress, bed linens, and towels were all new. Not sure if it was just our room but the water pressure was pretty horrible. The coolest thing about the hotel was its location in the historic district. One block from Washington Street and about 4-5 blocks to the Courthouse Museum (which is really neat, by the way). Vicksburg has some charm - and pretty decent food and alcohol prices. The battlefield park was pretty spectacular for a thirty-something couple; we tooled around for several hours and could've stayed longer if we'd had time.
This was the worst hotel experience we have EVER had! We came into the room and it was absolutely filthy! It looked and smelled as if it had been closed up for ages. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower floor was black and there was mold growing on the shower curtain. There were no ceiling lights and 2 of the 3 small lamps that were on the broken bed tables had burnt out light bulbs. There were an abundance of fleas in the rooms too. It was so disgusting that we left only 2 hours after we checked in. The room next to ours looked as if it had been ransacked with broken mirrors and lamps on the floor. We were just about the only people in the hotel and we were put on the fourth floor. All i can say is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!
Rather old hotel in need of some makover. The room was nice and clean with excellent beds. The bathroom was clean but some tiles were missing. We were looking for a low cost sleep over on our way to Florida and the hotel was better than expected, located close to the shopping street with a lot of small shops.
