This is a wonderful place to stay. Take advantage of visiting Duff house for a glass and wine. Be sure to have the complimentary breakfast the next morning there to and take the tour. It’s a short walk from Steele house. It’s delicious, and the tour is amazing. The hostess is so wonderful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Please take advantage of this little gem and book a night or two here.

If you’re wondering what it’s like to stay in a house almost 200 years old, this is the perfect solution. The property is decorated in period furniture and really gives you a sense of another period in history. Location is ideal for visiting Vicksburg sites as well. A Very Nice Stay

We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.
