They hotel is right next to train station which is easy to approach for traveler. They place and the room is just basic, simple and small space. The room we got was clean enough, it is a bit noisy during day time with traffic. Not so bad after 11pm. Wifi is moderately good. It really is meant for people who needs to travel under budget.
Only if you want a cheap bed for the night. Clean and central, but thats about it. Near the railwaystation and the main road into the city centre, but rather well isolated. But I would stay there again if I only needed a bed for the night and nothing more.
Don't judge this 'hotel' by your usual standards. It's a basic, budget, hostel-like place but ideal to spend a night or two in if you're on a budget and don't want to pay standard Norwegian prices. It's located right by the railway station and ferry terminal and is right next to the city centre, so its location is very convenient. However, it is also right next to a busy flyover and a filling station. The 'hotel' consists of what in the UK are known as 'Portakabins'. It looks exactly like the temporary office units that are located on constructions sites. However, once inside, it offers good, basic accommodation, with all rooms having their own en suite facilities. This is absolutely not somewhere for travellers who are looking for comfort, style and exclusivity, but if you don't mind the basic accommodation and the 'interesting' fellow residents, this is a good, affordable place to stay.
Awful experience! This is not a hotel. People are clearly living here permanently. It felt like we was in an asylum seeker camp. There was noise and loud slamming with doors throughout the night, and at 06 in the morning children were running through the hall screaming in arabic. The room was dirty, i dropped my sheet on the floor and picked it up with dirt and long black hairs attaching to it. Looked like dog fur. We payd for a double rom, and got a bunk bed with a 1.20 cm bed at the bottom.... We had to put on bed linen ourself. The sheet was to small so we hade to use 2 sheets to cover the mattress. There was a disgusting stain on the mattress of the top bunk, visible to us when lying down. Bathroom was not clean, old dirt around the soap dispenser, and burn marks on the shelf. Overall dirty, disgusting and felt like a homeless shelter!!! To Budget Hotel: it might be a good idea to separate residents and random guests! WHY would you give someone a room next to noisy residents??
They stay without the hotell and sleeping There and under a bridge 300 m away. Romanian pepole. Dont order here, take yess hotell Is the best for the price in this town. About 500 nok PR nights singel beds i pay att #yesshotellkristiansand
Well, of course it's not the best hotel, but good enough for a short stay. The rooms are small, but the bathroom is prvate and clean, good. The beds move a lot and you can hear everything that is going on next to your room. Very nice terrace to chill with friends. The location is very good, next to party area and city centre.
Everything is very basic, but, for a much lower price than in any other hotel in Kristiansand (possibly in all Norway!), I got a real room with a large bed and a private bathroom. The location is right in the centre, and surprisingly it is quiet at night. Late arrivals are easy, you get the keys from the gas station nearby. People at the reception are friendly.
If you need a cheap place to stay , this is the place 😊. Wery nice people that works here , nice and gentle . I see some people write bad things about the budget hotel , Mostly people that write that it was wery bad ,we had to make the beds ourself and so om ,so face the facts ,it is a low price ,wery nice ,litle simple paradice, If you want high luxury standard , pay for it somewhere else , I really recommand this place , wery clean ,nice people ,low price , Best regard john husum
This was the worst accommodation on the planet I have stayed in. I was even a Boy Scout once. Having to make my own bed with period / blood stains on the duvet. Strange straggly black hairs. Cracked bathroom sink and vanity unit. Paper thin walls the aroma of Chinese cooking wafting indelicately around the corridors. Basically a porter cabin in a gas station carpark. I am surprised the rooms are not rented by the hour judging by the random guys in cars outside at 2 am. We slept on the coach instead of the hotel. Avoid avoid avoid !!!!!!
This is the only hotel I could find in Kristiansand (Norway) for less than 100 euros. At first I supposed that I would have to share the bathroom which I don’t like at all – but you don’t have to – each room has its private bathroom. The hotel is very basic but for the ratio price/quality in Norway it might be considered cheap. I should add that I was using the hotel only for sleeping and taking a shower. The only thing which might be annoying for some guests is the opening hour of the reception for the check-in – 15H00! An hotel is not only the room that you book it’s also the way we are received – Stein (?) the receptionist was great helping me anytime I had a problem to solve or a question to be answered – Thanks Stein you were great; and you are a good ambassador of your country.
