My wife and I arrived at this lovely Lido hotel and upon checking in, found that our room had been upgraded, without our asking, to a suite on the top floor. This being my wife's and my 18-year anniversary, exceeded our expectations! The receptionist spoke English quite well as well as other languages easily. The business-end was very friendly and sets the standard for service anywhere. The hotel has a restaurant attached but is also within walking distance from Michelin star restaurants. Breakfast services in the morning were delicious, fresh and far beyond the basic continental fare usually offered. Cakes, breads, fruit, cereals, cheeses, meats, coffees, quiche, and more. All fresh and done well.
such a beautiful location, next to water bus station and a short walk from restaurants and bars. the welcome we received was extremely friendly and helpful, willing to help me with my italian! We had booked a garden suite for our 25th wedding anniversary, the view over the lagoon is stunning and the garden was a joy to sit in (except for the pesky mozzies that bit both of us a lot). The food in the restaurant was delicious and waiters a delight. The continental breakfast was excellent, masses of choice, everything from cakes to mixed cold meat to cheese and cereal, fresh fruit and croissant, excellent to fill up on before hitting the streets of Venice. The hotel was spotless and housekeeping staff friendly. The only slight downside was that we could hear the music from the lounge/restaurant, but it was off by 9-10 every night. Loved the hotel and staff, would love to return soon I hope
We stopped here for a quiet relaxing drink one afternoon. Comfortable seating outside overlooking the lagoon with views of Venice in the distance. Lots of interesting boating movement and occasional yacht and even huge cruise ship. Good staff with prompt service and well priced drinks. The food menu looks good but we didn't have time to try a meal. Perhaps next time. Great view. Worth a visit
nice hotel, good location, nice clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, offers great views. Break fast is good but lacks range. Close proximity to Water bus station. enjoyed the stay and worth its price. Go for it..
Beautiful hotel, great suite and very friendly service. Will definitely return! Also food is high class and delicious!! Next to boat for all destinations and central to main road with shops and restaurants.
We are very happy with our stay (2 adults & 2 children). The location is great just steps away from the terminal where boats depart for Venice. We do recommend staying on Lido when visiting Venice. It is a beautiful island with old smaller palaces and lots of trees and flowers. Our suite (room 108) was overlooking the bay and we could see Venice. The room was very quiet. Complimentary water and sodas in the minibar! The big positive surprise was the excellent restaurant located in the hotel. It has a very nice outdoor veranda (with great views overlooking the bay and Venice) as well as an indoor area. The staff was very nice and helpful.
What a find! My daughter and I stopped for a late lunch. Food was fantastic and the service exceptional! And a stunning view. Reasonable prices too. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Highly recommended.
This is a gem of a hotel with a great location. Rooms are beautifully decorated and our suite overlooked the lagoon and Venice. We had also a little balcony we could sit and watch the water and all the boats. Hotel is right next to water bus stop. We drove from Florence and got on a car ferry to Lido. You can drive on Lido. In addition, Lido has a lovely beach within walking distance so after a hot day touring you can cool off in the Adriatic! Lots of shops and restaurants and of course gelato places! Staff here was remarkable and really helped us with GREAT suggestions for areas to visit in Venice for better and less touristy restaurants (near hospital and San Pietro church). We wound definitely cone back!
We have booked a very expensive suite in this hotel and they unexpectedly asked for full payment at the check-in (unusual for Italian hotels). Since we arrived, the air conditioning was not working (which could be very disappointing in Venice during summer). Although we immediately informed the reception in the afternoon, we were told that there was nothing to do as nobody could come and fix the air conditioning on Saturday. We obviously did not sleep at night as the suite was at the top floor of the building and got extremely hot during the whole day. We asked for a discount and the receptionist annoyingly agreed on that. We were never reimbursed, not even in part, for the serious inconvenience and the hotel did not reply to 3 emails seeking explanations. Not professional. Not really 4star service. Totally disappointing.
After a fabulous week on a Greek island cruise, a fascinating week in a lovely Venice apartment and a one night hotel stay on the lido, this was to be our last evening and we had planned to see the sunset from this area. Could it get even better? Yes....it could. We found this incredible hotel terrace with comfortable patio furniture, live music playing in the background, friendly and attentive (but not intrusive) waiters and several nice glasses of wine and nibbles. The sunset lit the Venice skyline and we recognized all the iconic landmarks we`d visited during the previous week. Absolutely stunning and very romantic. My only regret is that we didn`t eat here. Maybe next year....God willing.
